This is a topic where you can discuss any of the main Red Dwarf characters, their alternate selves (like Ace Rimmer or the crew's Back to Reality experience).

Who are your favorites, your least favorites? What are the moments where you felt their character shine through, as well as the moments where you felt like they weren't being themselves?

Remember now, this is not for linking clips: do that in the Black Box or the Officer's Club. With that out of the way, why don't I start? :3

My most favorite, of the main characters, is a tie between Lister and Rimmer, but if I had to choose, I'd probably choose Lister to be my number one.

In a few ways (his laziness, but likability around people), he's a lot like me, but in other ways (his bravery), he's what I'd want to be. Listy's also, to me, a very regular guy that people can relate to as a protagonist: something that is rare nowadays. Usually protagonists are like Ace Rimmer- They're so heroic they don't seem to be human. To me, Dave is heroic because he's just an ordinary human: the last one alive at that.

I also have a thing for leather, so when I saw his series 4 - 6 outfits (I think it was those if I recall), I was like "Ohmigosh, he's wearing leather, he is officially awesome. =D"

I always see the fanbase (at least the bits of it I've seen) always say that they like Rimmer for his humor, and that makes me think that Listy's overlooked a bit, so I thought I'd give him official Captain's recognition. <3 Here's to you, Dave Lister, may you forever stay on the Righteous Path of Slobbiness. 8D
