xFriday, April 13, 1990. 12:00 am. Tokyo, Japan. A child was born. Sin. She was born on the stroke of midnight on April 13th. The mother of the child was unknown. She died right after her daughter was born due to an unknown cause. Seconds later, a fire broke out in one of the hospital rooms. Its uncontrollable flames traveled through the hospital, breaking windows and sending chaos through the building. Nurses and doctors rushed to the much stronger and much more valuable patients and helped them escape. All the babies were taken as well. All except Sin. She was placed on her dead mother's hospital bed, forgotten by many. Hours passed and no one could hear the poor child's screams and crying from inside the hospital. All she could hear was the crackling and roaring of flames and the blaring of sirens beyond the building. The building weakened from the fire and collapsed. Soon, the fire died as the local fire department sprayed it down with large hoses. Underneath all the rubble and fallen debris from the collapsed hospital, Sin was found. Very much alive. It was a miracle that she was. She was found crying. Covered in ash. The fire fighter that found her turned to the doctor, asking about her parents. But he found out she had none and that her only parent died after the birthing. He took her in and adopted her. Feeling guilt for the orphaned child. He and his wife couldn't have any children. So they were currently looking for adopting.
Sin was taken home to the Takahashi family. The father, Hiroshi, and the mother, Ayame. They loved her dearly. They raised her well. But while Sin was in the house, disaster struck. Miscarriages, injuries, house destruction, financial issues. But they were still optimistic. Sin went to a normal public school. Elementary and Middle School. She did fine in school. She tried extra hard with her dyslexia. But got Bs and Cs. Sin was tutored by many. Few succeeded in helping her. But they usually bailed. She successfully survived elementary with average or above average grades. She did quite well in middle school as well. However, Sin wasn't good at making friends. So she went through school without any friends.
During the middle of the eighth grade, a tragedy occurred. Ayame, Sin's mother, died from a heart attack. The Takahashi house went into great depression. Sin loved her adopted mother very much. Hiroshi, Sin's father, became an alcoholic. He returned home, drunk, and bringing home prostitutes. She could hear him and a woman having sex in the upstairs bedroom. But when Hiroshi was sober, he would neglect or ignore her, or he would beat her. He knew that Sin was bad luck. And she caused many troubles. She was a bad omen. He thought of her as a demon. So he would beat her. Giving her bruises, cuts, and wounds all over her body. She would cover her body up so no one could see the remains of the constant beatings.
Sin lived in silence. She was almost always never happy. She grew lonely, scared, hurt, pained, and unloved. Sin would cry for hours on end after her father would beat her. She wouldn't be able to sleep because she would have nightmares. So she would just cry and weep.
As she entered high school, her grades slowly began to drop. But Sin would try her best to raise them. Fearing her father that he would beat her harder if she got bad grades. She went through high school alone. Not a friend in the world. She went unnoticed. Silent and depressed. Sin felt like she was unloved and she didn't have anyone to rely on or to make her smile. She began to regret her existence. She tried to commit suicide several of times. But she was too scared to do it. She tried doing everything. Hanging herself. Cutting herself till she bled to death. Jumping off a building. Stabbing herself. Pointing a gun to her head. Jumping in front of a bus. But she couldn't work up the courage to do so. So she carried on with her life of abuse, neglect, sadness, and loneliness.
One day, after school, on her way back home from the tenth grade, she found the sidewalk on her route home was blocked off for construction. So, Sin cut through a dark alley way. Then, a black silhouette of a man blocked the other side of the alley. She felt scared and stopped. The man began to walk towards her. She turned around, and headed back to the sidewalk she was on. But another man blocked that. She stopped. She was trapped. Sin found herself shoved against the grimy brick wall of the alley, her clothes being torn off from her body. The two men pressed against her, raping her. Sin screamed and yelled for help. But no one bothered. She was left on the cold floor, barely clothed, blood trickling down her thighs. She sat there for hours, crying and weeping. Sin felt like she had the worst life ever. When she returned home that night, her father had beaten her unconscious, thinking she purposely had sex when she was obviously raped. He didn't feed her or anything. He would lock the fridge and prevent her from eating. She became anorexic by force.
The only time she ate was when she was at the cafeteria at lunch. She would buy extra food and store it in her back pack for later. But her father would always find out and beat her for it. Sin was hungry, neglected, abused, raped, scared, depressed, and unloved. One day, she passed out in class, due to lack of energy and food. She was taken to the hospital immediately. They took tests on her and found out about her lack of eating. They also noticed all the bruises and cuts and wounds all across her body. The nurses knew it was from a human. Sin wept, telling them her father abused her and cut her off from food. She cried as she explained to them her horrible life. The pitied her. Hearing this, they arrested Hiroshi Takahashi.
Sin moved out of the home she lived in for sixteen years and moved into an abandoned apartment building. She fixed it up and made it into a decent home. She found a job working as a waitress. Sin was still unhappy with her life. Everywhere she stepped, disaster occurs. To her or to the world around her. Sin blamed herself for everything. The fire in the restaurant she worked at. The earthquakes in the town. Robberies. Everything. She hated herself and she hated her life.
She moved to Sinnoh, wanting a fresh start. She worked many jobs. She was a floater. She worked where there needed to be work. But Sin would always cause disasters. At age 18, she began to dance. Ballet. She stepped into a ballet studio and felt at ease. She was a born natural. She would gracefully dance and prance like a gazelle. She was beautiful when she danced. She enjoyed it immensely. She felt as if all her pain melts away as she dances. But it always returns. Sin lives a life of sadness and loneliness. She is still stuck in the past. Feeling so much pain and sorrow and neglect. x
