I've been considering purchasing "The Language-Hacking Guide" by Benny Lewis for awhile now, but I really want to be sure that it's good, especially since I don't have $50 of easily-disposable cash. So I wanted to know if anyone has had good experiences with this e-book and/or recommends it.

That looks very interesting, and sounds like its right up my alley...Although I'm not sure if I would like to buy it, but he has inspired me greatly! I don't know how many chances I have wasted because I was too shy to try and talk to the native in their languages....

I'd say it's probably a waste of money. There's no miracle system or secret to mastering a foreign language.
