Ah, I see your new. How do I know? Well, for starters, you don't know ME! Name: Matthew 'Matt' Collins
Age: 26 {Now 27!}
Gender: Male
Height: 6'3
Birthday: Fall 25
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Job: Bartender Likes: Excitement, fun, alcohol, and attractive women.
Dislikes: Vegetables, vanilla, rainy days, and snooty people.
History: You know that guy in highschool which seems to have everything? The jock who dated the hot cheerleader, and his family was full of cash? Yeah, that was Matthew, at least where he came from, that is. Quite tired with his parent's obstinate view that he needed to get married, he decided to get his own place for college. An apartment, something simple. But he had never lived alone, ever. So he soon grew lonely, plus the fact that collegian life was hard.
So, he set out to get an roommate. He was more than surprised when a young pretty blonde was standing on his doorstep, less than a week later. He recognized her from TV, or at least he thought. Wasn't she that girl with the parents that were getting divorced? She soon confirmed this, as well that she would not like to hear any news of it or that he leak that she was with him. He agreed. She said her name was Carly Talbot, and that she hoped to not be a bother.
They lived together for a while, where they clashed a lot. He liked to party and have fun, while she stayed indoors or went to bookstores. He was a morning person, while she was not. She was more of a night person, really. But that was fine, they didn't have to see each other that much. Just between classes and on the weekends, and whenever he got hungover.
He only got through the first two years of college, growing tired of it. He hated college, but not the amenities that came with it. So he left Carly, after helping her find a more affordable place and a job that could help her pay for it. She grew very resentful of him because of his decision. And with that, he moved away to live with some relatives. He was not happy with what he was doing, at an dead-end job and he didn't like it, at all. He maintained communication with Carly, but she expressed how angry and hurt she felt, plus that she didn't want him to call her anymore. He agreed.
After many months without speaking, he returned to her. Quitting his job and leaving his relatives, after receiving an very drunk and upset call from Carly. That everything was falling apart, that she didn't know what to do. And after lots of drama, they agreed to live together in her little apartment. He worked instead, while she studied. He was very charismatic and found a pretty good job as an bartender. But soon enough, the divorce of Carly's parents grew more nasty and severe. And she was followed often, much to her chagrin.
After much deliberation, they decided to go somewhere quiet and far away from the city. And here they are. Matthew had to resort to asking his parents for financial aid, but they came through. And they even got a house, which is... comfy. Matthew's parents help pay for it, since they know their son's situation. And he happily lives with Carly, on her good days, having found a job as an bartender again.
Personality: Matthew is very passionate and will jump head-first into all types of different situations, he's very hasty in his decision-making. He likes to be the fun guy, who entertains everyone with jokes and brightens any room; or so he'd like to think. He's also fiercely protective of Carly Talbot, who so happens to be his... something. She refuses to put a label on their relationship.
Diary Location: Hidden away in a cabinet near his bed.

~HAS LEFT SONATA TOWN~ Behind my guard? You'll find all my demons... Name: Carly Talbot
Age: 25 {Now 26!}
Gender: Female
Height: 5'6
Birthday: Winter 11
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Job: Writer
Likes: Reading, soap operas on TV, rainy days, and bookstores.
Dislikes: Junk food, vanilla ice cream, loud noises, and rap music.
History: Carly’s life has always been far from glamorous, and her family life was not what anyone would like to brag about. In High School she was a very bright young student, with a very sarcastic and dry wit. She was voted in senior year, ‘Most likely to Succeed’ in her yearbook. And she was very proud of how pretty she looked in the picture. Little does everyone back home know that she’s fallen so far from grace? Because nobody knows what could be hidden behind closed doors, especially behind the red door at the front of Carly’s house.
Not a year afterward, her parents started a very nasty divorce. Where they both argued and fought bitterly over who got what. Where they each decided to take two kids, when there were 5 kids. Carly was the third Talbot child, but very much invisible, especially compared to her more lively siblings. And when all 5 of the children were pulled into the fray, Carly was the first to leave the nest.
As soon as her college studies started, she looked out for anybody willing to shack up. A roommate: male, female, or otherwise. The next thing she knew, she was standing at the door of a handsome young man, Matthew, who couldn’t help but gawk at her. After setting her ground rules, she moved in with him. And for a while, all was fine.
After two years, Matthew got up one day and took her to check out some new apartments and to find her a job. She was excited, because she thought that they were getting into a nicer place to live. But when he broke to her the news that he was leaving, Carly was left hurt and heartbroken. For two years, he had been the only constant in her life. And God found another way to pull the ground right from under her. She grew very bitter and jaded because of it. The first few months, Matthew kept contact, but after a very bad day, she snapped at him. To not call her or speak to her again, she ordered. And with that, she hung up the phone.
After many months of living alone, Carly had a very traumatic experience. She had found herself in the bar, drinking her sorrows away. All of a sudden, she hears shouting and swearing. She’s a bit buzzed, but quite conscious when she remembers seeing the glass pane to the bar break, and a man fall out. A huge fight breaks out, and she’s stuck in the midst of it. In typical mob mentality, everybody begins to fight. Leaving an lone Carly frightened and not knowing what to do. Before her mind could register, she was pushing people out of the way, trying to get out. Running for her life, or, at least she thought. Fists were colliding, bodies were flying, glass was breaking and blood was running all over the floor. Cornered, she crouched down and could only watch as everybody drowned in madness.
Thankfully, before she could be touched, the police arrived and broke up the fight. And before the news teams arrived, avoiding unwanted attention, she scurried home. Where she called Matthew and tearfully confessed her need for him to be back. Sure, she omitted the fact that she was almost attacked by a mob, but before she knew it, he was back. And after some arguing and drama, he decided to stay with her. And have been together since, him finding a new job as a bartender and she finished her studies. Going on to be a writer.
Personality: Carly is a very guarded person, doesn't really give away much of herself. It takes a really long time for her to trust, but when she does, she is fiercely loyal! Carly can usually be seen accompanying or being accompanied by Matthew, who is much more vocal and trusting than herself. She tends to be quite sullen and also very moody, especially in the mornings. Carly is also very afraid of commitment, because of her parent's nasty and very public divorce. People should beware of her when she is drunk.
Diary Location: Under the couch cushion in the living room.
