As I'm going to school to be a programmer i intend to create an RPG, I'll have to make everything from stats to graphis, and music, I've never made any music before, I'm kind of suck at making graphics, but the stats thing I should be able to balance out nicely.

Anyways I figured I might as well make a thread about it here, so I can try to get help/suggestions for what I should be doing.

My first question is, what's a good piece of free software for making music tracks?

I know there is some way to make games at a place called BYOND, but as I've only played the games there I'm not sure how it works, but it seems to be free...

If you post more here about what kind of rpg you wanna make I might be able to have more input but I don't right now cause rpg is a rather broad category...

Hmm, would save me the trouble of coming up with a bunch of names wouldn't it?

The RPG would probably have a heavy focus on Stats and hopefully some tactical aspects. I'm still not really sure what it would be about, or for that matter, what programs I'll be using, but I think I'll be able to use Microsoft Office, and in that case, Access is what i'll be using to manage all the Information on leveling and enemy statistics and such.
