Cupcakes29 do you ever stop to think why we worry so much when God has it all under control? I think it's because we sometimes feel like we are controlling our lives, and when things don't go the way we want, we feel like we are losing control when in reality we never had control in the first place. sweatdrop

Just because God is in control, doesn't mean bad things won't happen. We worry about what COULD happen, even though we know God has a plan for it. ^^

It's kinda ridiculous how much energy worrying takes. But somehow God steers you in the right path. Even if trials befall you, He walks by your side through those trials and you end up becoming a stronger person.

"No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money." Luke 16:13 JESUS WILL HOLD YOU TOGETHER!!!!

Quote: do you ever stop to think why we worry so much when God has it all under control? I worry 24/7, my boyfriend who is studying to be a youth pastor always tells me that my worry is a sign of doubt, but in my opinion no matter how strong you are in your faith it seems like its just human nature for us to be worried. I see it as another way for God to show his grace and compassion for us. We worry and worry about something until we break down and give it to God then he takes care of it whether in the way we wanted or not we are always thankful and we reflect all glory and praise to Him.
Glory to God forever!

I actually do. I was telling someone else in the guild about Proverbs 3:5-8. I say those scriptures in my head 'til I remember that He has things under control. My uncle told me that worrying is waste of a good imagination. smile I've also heard that worrying is prayer to the wrong God. Peace heart

You DO have a point about the worrying 'til God takes over but it's less painful and leaves more space in your head to NOT worry. biggrin

heart cool I think it is because...we don't have patience...we are anxious..and human! I am learning to wait..to be patient and picture in my mind the results...having faith that it is already done! Kim

I am an incredibly paranoid person. Most every night now for so many weeks I've been telling myself, "God has it all under control. He has a plan and a purpose for you. Just trust in Him. He's carrying you through all of your troubles." and yet it still doesn't stick in my brain. I think most of my worrying comes from the question, "To what purpose am I to serve." To serve God is my automated answer but I still don't know how I am to serve Him. Love Him and follow Him and don't make Him a religion but a relationship. There are so many factors that I worry - about God even! Am I following Him? Am I truly sitting and listening for His voice? Grrr! I pray for peace. And I guess I need to improve on my patience.

I could say that I have a slight psychological problem: I obsess over things too much. One tagline or spark and I end up constantly thinking over an unwanted thought repeatedly for days, weeks, months, years. I really need to get connected to God even more ...

My uncle told me that worrying is waste of a good imagination. smile I've also heard that worrying is prayer to the wrong God. Peace heart Fist of all, Proverbs 3:5-8 is a set of verses I often find myself saying in my head when I start to worry about something. I once heard that "worry is prayer to the wrong God." It's just trying to point out that we need to have unconditional faith that our Father is always doing what is right for us even if we don't understand why.
