Everybody was kung-fu fighting! ----xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx


These are the main training grounds where our prized genin come to train with their jounin senseis! Many chuunin come here to train as well, though jounin tend to find their own space. Remember: You wreck it, you fix it. Don't use somebody as target practice if they don't know you're doing it. Also, if you fall asleep its your own fault if you get hurt.

User ImageHotaru Uchiha sat beneath a tree on the outskirts of the Konohagakure training grounds. For the last hour and a half she'd been training nonstop. Sweat was pouring down her face and drenching her clothes. She was going to need a hot bath after this but she needed to work off some stress - not that she had much to be particularly stressed about at the moment. Today was a good day after all. Today she had passed the jounin exams and officially been awarded the rank of Jounin.

Hotaru gazed down at the flak jacket that almost all jounin wore with distaste in her green eyes. She found it kind of ugly and masculine and though she wasn't one to particularly care about such things for some reason she really disliked it. Maybe she'd wear it for awhile so people would know she'd passed and then just stop. After all - there were some that didn't wear it. Hotaru sighed. She was proud of herself for having reached the rank and wanted to go and tell Garyuu and Ichina about it. They were, after all, the ones who were helping to train her with her Mangekyou. They had taught her a lot of other things too and it was partly due to their help that she'd achieved her rank.

The only thing she didn't really feel like doing was telling her parents. She knew her mother would make a big fuss over it. Her father wouldn't but he'd go along with whatever her mother did which didn't help her any. Melani would be upset, no doubt. She'd been upset when Hotaru made chuunin before she did. Now the gap was larger. It wasn't that Hotaru was trying to surpass her on purpose - it was their older siblings that were her target to surpass but she couldn't help it if Melani didn't seem to have the same drive as she did. She had to have the talent - it was in their genetics to have the talent. Hotaru sat and pondered this in the field for awhile longer along with whether or not she wanted to to go the hot springs or just home for the bath that she so desperately needed.
