Technique Description: Used by many of the children of Akihiko, the Akatokiyami clan, this is one of the techniques unique to each of the children of Akihiko. This version is Akio's. Esper Mode is a technique used by an Akatokiyami, to be able to access the divine power within them and take their full Esper form, instead of their normal physical form. This increases their powers greatly, but the manner in which it does it differs between each of Akihiko's children. When Akio utilizes Esper Mode, he transforms into his Esper form... Azrael, the Angel of Death. This form takes the appearance of a young adult angelic figure, wearing leathery armour with several metallic parts, and possessing six wings, granting it the angelic status of Seraphim. However, these wings are white feathery, but covered in what seems to be blood, and so is the rest of Azrael's clothing. This form increass Akio's powers to a great extent in different ways, for example, his weapons transform into Azurewrath, a 10 foot long greatsword which when destroyed returns to the owner's hand when destroyed or when willed, due to the divine Fuuinjutsu laced within the weapon. This weapon can also generate blasts of gravitons to allow a basic ranged attack, but also, it is extremely sharp, with the blade being lined with microhooks invisible to the human eye due to their extremely small size, this allows the chance to do even more damage by ripping off flesh from the victim.

Another thing about Akio's Esper Mode, is that his chakra reserves are expanded upon massively, granting him the chakra reserves of a high level chakra bearer 6 ranks above his own, so at Genin, he has the chakra levels of a Sannin. In addition to this, his abilities are amplified greatly, as he doesn't need his twin sister's Hikari's Twilight Release and Twilight Psychokinesis to combine with his Anyoton and Gravity Psychokinesis to generate Chaos Release. And his quantum brainwaves are amplified two 3 times their power than before, strengthing his psychokinetic powers. However, all this power has a restriction, as a Genin, he can only use it for around 6 posts before reverting, 8 posts when Chuunin or equivalent, 10 posts when Jounin or equivalent, and 2 more posts each for each rank higher than Jounin. When Akio reverts, he will be left with quite a few chakra burns and parts of his body will be covered in crystal that eventually disappears over a period of time. It also puts him into a coma as well.

The transformation process goes as follows for Akio. Gathering all his power and chakra and directing it inward on his divine soul, the process will begin. At which point, glowing markings of a blue and dark purple colour will start to cover his body, after which his clothing will shred to pieces, and then his physical body starts to dissolve, leaving his spiritual body behind as a glowing blue version of his physical form. This spiritual body will be covered in the runes, at which point Akio will shout "Esper Mode! TRANSCEND!", allowing the final parts of the transformation to commence. Akio will be surrounded in an indestructable crystalline coocon, which will be then covered with waves of gravitons, which appears as a mass of dark purplish-blue flames and swirls of energy. After a few seconds, the cocoon will shatter and the transformed Akio, now Azrael, will emerge from the flames, wielding his sword, and the flames will convert back to gravitons and release a strong gravitational shockwave that can cause large amounts of damage to the surrounding area, with the power of a B-ranked technique, and the shockwave goes upto 10 metres away from Akio.

Technique Description: Hypersonic Haste is Akio's main styles of attack with his weapons or his body other than his gun, sword or gunblade, and assists him greatly, especially in Esper Mode. This style allows Akio to naturally move at extremely fast speeds, even faster than a combination of Rock Lee at the final gate plus high level Swift Release techniques. As is plainly obvious, this allows extremely fast hypersonic movement for Akio, so fast that it is extremely hard for his opponent to react. It incorperates the almagalation of the Replusion technique of the Akatokiyami Clan, Akio's Gravity Manipulation, limited Teleportation due to the Akatokiyami Psychokinesis and Shunshin no Jutsu. The end result is a fighting that is potentially even faster than the Flying Thunder God technique. The Repulsion technique combined with Shunshin no Jutsu allows an enhancement on the hyperaccelerated movement of Shunshin no Jutsu, allowing Akio to propell himself even faster with Shunshin no Jutsu, then using his Gravity Psychokinesis to generate gravitational forces the propell him even faster, as well as surrounding him with a wave of gravitons to slow down enemy counter-attacks and a protective measure. The limited teleportation allows Akio to accelerate his movement even further through rapid minor teleporation. The end result is a fighting style where when Akio moves using this style, he is surrounded by after-images, and faster than even the Mangekyou Sharingan has difficulty following and even then it is just a hit and a miss to be able to react. This was originally a style used for running away but was developed as a means to protect himself from harm, especially against Saisei and his Andiel.
