Situated away from the hustle and bustle of the main town, near enough to the medical centre to make a few patients nervous, is the village morgue.

From the outside it is a squat grey concrete building. At the front is a single set of doors, at the back a graveyard and crematorium, carefully tucked out of public eye. A dicreet white sign reads "Danshokugakure Village Morgue". Spray painted beside it is the cheery motto "You kill 'em we chill 'em" which has actually been adopted by the centre with happy grasp of the inevitable.

Inside are sparkling clean disinfected corridors and stark white lights. Instead of cooling specific compartments the entire building is at a permanent cool temprature to prevent rot. In row after row of steel beds lie the sheet covered corpses, like an eerily still hospital ward.

There are three dissection rooms named Styx, Elysium and Tartarus.

Styx is the first dissection room for assessment of those who have passed away on missions. Here any fatally wounded ninja is fully examined for information on enemy shinobi's jutsu, weaponty, poisons and how to counter them.

Elysium is the largest dissection room. Here the bodies of the citizens are checked over for foul play before being prepared for burial. As such this disscetion room is half lab, half undertakers.

Tartarus is the smallest dissection room and is the least used. Here the bodies of enemy ninja's are autopsied and interrogated for any information on their missions, jutsu or village. Those bearing a Kekkai Genkai such as a Dojutsu may have it removed for closer analysis. All corpses here are considered donated to science.

After the last caretaker worked the night shift after seeing a zombie movie the only staff here has been Kaze or one of his clones who wanders the premises late at night and ocassionally sleeps there.
