Biography: Yang does not remember his birth or his biological family. As a baby he was lost to the desert, or at least that's what he tells himself, secretly he believes his parents abandoned him because of his unusual blood-red eyes. Yang was found by a Knowledge Seeker on it's way back to the spirit library. Wong Shi Tong was angered by the fact that a Knowledge Seeker had brought a human into his domain yet at the same time intrigued because he had no material on the growth of human beings. Figuring that the best study material was hands on knowledge he decided to raise the child and note his development. Wong Shi Tong was actually quite the father, taking good care of Young Yang and guiding him from his first steps through the current day. Wong Shi Tong was overjoyed to discover that the boy was a firebender and used this opportunity to experiment on the basis of firebending itself. He taught the boy to firebend with stillness of the mind. Wong Shi Tong used his knowledge of fighting styles to impose a unique training on the boy. Knowing nothing of the other three elements and the limits between them he taught the boy to use fire as if it were each of the other elements. He taught the boy swordsmanship and produced for him two black blades to use on his fifteenth birthday. On that day Yang was called into Wong Shi Tong's study. Wong Shi Tong told him that he had taught him all that he could teach him and though he never truly mastered any specific style he was well enough off to be able to venture out into the world and learn for himself. After a emotional goodbye from the knowledge seeking spirit foxes, Wong Shi Tong gave Yang one final gift the White Lotus Pai Sho piece, Yang and Wong Shi Tong played the game everyday and for the most part the White Lotus was a piece that Wong Shi Tong used often in strategy and beat into Yang's head. Yang rushed to hug his father and his father placed a somewhat awkward wing around him. "Venture out into the world now and learn about yourself, hopefully the world can teach you as you have taught me, my son" ended Wong Shi Tong shocking Yang, 'son' those were words he hadn't heard in all his years, Wong Shi Tong had accepted Yang and Yang knew now that the journey was his to take. He climbed out of the library as Wong Shi Tong allowed the tower to rise from the ground another time so that his son may travel outward into the world. Yang watched with sad blood red eyes as his home sank beneath the sand.
Yang has a set few drawbacks, In the event of his anger going out of control his firebending will turn inwards and though more powerful it will also inflict damage to himself. Also being that he hasn't had human contact he is shy and even more deathly afraid of women.

Since you're not in the army, you have to start with low-rank student or at least high-rank student if you're literate enough.
I'll allow the story about him growing up with Wan Shitong, however you can't master black fire, blue fire, or lightning. Those are the trademarks of the Royal Family and the most powerful generals.

((I Didn't know there was black fire 0.0, sorry everything else is understood))
The desert was expansive and very dry, yet the boy walking through the endless sand seemed as cheery as ever. He was just beginning a journey seeking knowledge. He was somewhat naive but completely aware of the evils of society and almost none of the good.
The boy was disrupted from his thoughts by the sound of whirling sand, he looked back to see three ships sailing on top of the sand, he had read scrolls about this, Sandbenders. Scavengers and theives roamed the desert in ships, they were once a proud band of people but had degenerated into this.
They encircled him each stopping in a location so that the boy was closed in.
"What are you doing all the way out in the desert?" Asked the one that seemed to be their leader, "It could get dangerous out here we should escort you"
The naivety of the boy somewhat got the best of him as his face softened and he thought he was going to get a ride he stepped closer to the bender before being halted by an outstretched hand.
"Woah there, buddy. It's no free ride, we'll need some incentive to take you to the next town.
Somewhat shocked, Yang just said silently, "N-no thank you, I have nothing to trade, I-I'll be f-f-fine walking." Yang moved to walk by the man
The Sandbender placed his hand in front of Yang and smirked at him, "Fine you can walk, but I like those blades I think I'll have to take them for myself!" he ended with a yell reaching for Yang's blades.
Yang's blades were a gift from his father he refused to relinquish them to anything man, beast or spirit. He grabbed the man's arm and twisted it back so that it was just to the side of the man's face and brought him to his knees, "What do you think you're doing?" he asked his blood red eyes cold.
"T-those eyes" stammered the Sandbender, "Attack! Attack him" he yelled
Yang lifted his other arm, mercy was something that Wong Shi Tong had never taught him. He brought a heavy fist down on the man knocking him unconcious as 7 other Sandbenders rushed from their places on the ships. Yang lifted the man over his head, his strength was hidden by his size, and threw him into another sandbender and took his fighting stance. His right foot infront of his left both feet facing the side his body turned sideways toward his opponent his right arm out front hanging by his waist in a fist his left held up by his mouth. As the first bender moved in he ducked low and turned full circle thrusting his fist outward toward a group of two and shooting a fireball, a basic maneuver, yet wide enough to knock them both on the ground.
"He's a firebender!" yelled one stating the now obvious
Another bender made a movement causing sand to fly towards Yang in a wall like wave Yang dodged to the side and summoned fire from his hands in a punch, but instead of the blast traveling outwards he brought the blast around his own body as if it were water and back outwards in a wave of fire that consumed the bender and brought him to the ground rolling in the sand to end the flames.
Yang kept his eyes on the remaining four he could see the one about to make his move but he wasn't sure just what yet, then in a instant it was made the Sandbender propelled Sand at Yang like a whip Yang dodged by ducking low then began his charge toward the bender but was intercepted by another attack from the side which caught him by surprise getting sand in his eyes.
"Augh!" Yelled Yang as he stepped back a few steps holding his eyes
"Contain him!" yelled one sandbender,
Hearing this Yang knew he had to make a quick move, thinking back on a lesson he had with his father on glasswork. Yang used his training in the styles of Earth bending and thrust his fist into the air before slamming a palm into the ground. The sandbenders rushed in on him in an attempt to stop any move. They could not stop him though, fire expelled from his palm outward as the sand changed to glass. The sandbenders all began to slip and slide around the last four barely remaining standing. Blinded Yang made a desperate move accesing his airbending type technique. He bent low crouching and held his palms down and spun around stepping forward raising his hands high above him causing the flames to rise into the air and form a fire tornado around him, The sandbenders guarded their faces from the heat as they observed what they had never seen before. Yang from the inside pushed out causing the flames to disperse outward just enough for the force of the heat to knock down the remaining sandbenders. In a panic the gathered their people and scrambled onto two of the ships and ventured off in a hurry.
Hearing them scurry Yang reached for a canteen of water and poured it in his eyes so that he could flush them out. He searched the ships and gathered what supplies he could. He then began to venture out once more. He placed a hand on his father's blades, "Father," he spoke to the sky, "I've had my first encounter with humans, they are as you said" he spoke as he walked through the desert towards the nearest town

Hm, perhaps if you increase your age by two or three years, and state that your character got some training from a master, you may be able to have the bending level of High Apprentice... your RPing's good enough.
