What is with every fan hating on Lisa all of a sudden???? She's one of the few female SPN characters I like! Same with Bela, she was one of my faves.

My least favorite was hands-down Ruby 2.0.
Man I nearly did a cartwheel in my living room when she bt the dust.
LOL and random, but that satanic kid who body-swapped with Sam, Gary or whatever his name was, I hated him. So stupid rolleyes
Oh and Kali, the Goddess from 'Hammer of the Gods' was not one of my favorites. She tried to kill Gabe! And she called the Sexpala "that THING" stare

I hate all of dean's girl friends. Except Jo. She had some sense and knew how to kick a**.

The reason I hate Lisa is because she's a total mary-sue. She's too perfect and has no idea on how to fight, she's not even that pretty. The thought of her with Dean almost disgust me. stressed

I liked Ruby. I don't know why. I liked her the best when she was blonde, Which is kinda wierd but she was funny. x3

Zach annoys me. He's freaking... stupid. neutral

Bela was just... she was just unlikable. Erik said himself that she was made to be an unlikable character. She's kinda like me, I just don't like her.

Does that mean I don't like me? gonk

Well, she's just the perfect girl. Actually, a perfect girl is one who doesn't kick butt and all. I hate it when girls don't know how to do that and the guys have to do it for them and I can tell she's one of those girls. -In shows atleast. I mean I know there's a lot like that in the real world and I feel no grudge against them, I just don't like people like that in my entertainment-

I just don't like Lisa. She's a pointless girl character. Same as the others. You only see her three times anyway. So I don't see how she could really be loved if supernatural doesn't even show her for more than a minute in the show.

I mean, I would've liked her if she didn't go with Dean. x3 She just doesn't fit Dean to me. It's mary sue-ish. Out of all the girls he meets he always has the whorish ones. neutral

((Not saying she's a whore, just saying she's like the other ones who were whorish.))

With respect, I'm gonna have to disagree.

Note: I realize that people simply have different opinions and different tastes about these kinds of things, so the following is not meant to persuade you to suddenly just like Lisa. Rather, it is meant to explain why I (and other people) actually do like the character.



But . . . she's really not . . .

She has her flaws just like anybody else. She's stubborn, for example. When Dean first showed up, she refused to believe he was there for any good reason because of this idea she had of him.



See, now I'm not following. I don't think that's the perfect girl at all.

Are you trying to say that she's a stereotypical girl? If so, then again, I would have to disagree. She's a single mother and a yoga teacher. I usually don't see those two qualities put together. She's different and interesting, but at the same time, she's not unbelievably different. She acts exactly as you would expect a single mother with a wild past who wants to be a good mom to act.



Again, I'm going to have to disagree. I don't think that Lisa is "one of those girls." She's not a helpless damsel in distress. She's just also not a hunter. She's a normal person, and as Dean says, "News flash, normal people are supposed to be scared of ghosts!" (or, you know, killer rotting changeling babies) I think she would be so much more of a Mary Sue if she did know how to fight changelings.



That's just the nature of the show. I mean, the longest relationship Dean has had with anyone lasted only 2 weeks. The boys have never even stayed in the same town for more than a month or two since before they were even in school.

The only romantic relationships Dean has ever had have all been incredibly brief, so why shouldn't one that seems real to him be as equally brief?



Dean sleeps with a lot of women, but the women he actually has meaningful relationships with aren't the ones just giving it all away the second they catch a glimpse at his gorgeous face.

And really, those are the relationships that I like the best. I like Lisa and Dean because Lisa actually stands her ground and doesn't fall into his arms the second he shows up. He has to work for even one small kiss.

And to be fair, Lisa was kind of "whorish" when she and Dean first met. That's where Ben came from.



Anyway . . . . to sum up all my thoughts on this issue . . . .

I think Lisa is very much Dean's type. She's stubborn and fiery, and I think she's gorgeous.

She's not a Mary Sue because 1. She's not a self-insert (Sara wrote Lisa, and I don't think the two are alike at all) and 2. She's not perfect at everything she does. She makes mistakes and does the best she can with what she has, just like the rest of us.

She's also not just the damsel in distress. I mean, she is a damsel, and she is in distress, but she doesn't just sit around and scream when the monster shows up. She tries to escape and, when she finds she can't, she tries to get answers out of the monster instead of just screaming and crying in terror like most damsels in distress do.



(again, I'm not saying this to try to change your mind on the subject, just to express a different opinion.)
