There's this little girl in my building I see sometimes...
usually she's all alone.
I know her dad works and her mom is at home during the day, when not doing odd chores or volunteering while the kid is at school.

She has seen me a few times asking if I have any younger sisters or brothers for her to play with since the older kids say they *can't play now* and the younger ones - with older sibs think she'll be too rough.

I'd play with her - even talk longer if it didn't look "weird" --
so sometimes I'll give her a coloring book or sidewalk chalk.

I don't know why the kids don't play with her and maybe its not my business - but I feel so sorry for her not having kids to be with all summer...
