I just wanted to know what everyone like In Fruits Basket. I just wanted to know whether they liked the Japanese version or the English version/ If they like the anime or Manga.

I prefer the manga. I read the english version because I'm not really good at reading Japanese yet - I just started learning this last term.

I like the english manga the best it has more detail in the story and makes more sense. Fruits Basket is my fave manga!

I like to watch the anime with subtitles because the dubs never seem to be that good! But I read the manga in english because I don't speak/read japanese very well crying

I prefer the manga, because I can place the characters with a voice I like. When I watched the anime (both subbed and dubbed), I was horrified by how Ayaa-san sounded. @_@ Thus, I like to live in a lie and keep to the manga. ^^;;;

When I watched Furuba I would mainly watch it in English, but I would change it to Japanese if it said something I thought would be interesting to hear in Japanese...like, when they would sing a song or something. 3nodding

I have the English anime and manga, and I must say the manga is WAY better. I liked watchign the anime, (i almost cried when I heard Ayame's voice... i invisioned it MUCH more different!!) but they leave out too much stuff. You don't even meet two of the Zodiac!!

I prefer the manga because it's the true story, I mean, they usually change some things in the anime... And there are many things that happen in the manga that never do in the anime. I prefer to watch anime in japanese (if there are subtitles, of course!) and read in portuguese (since I'm brazilian), although I bought some mangas when I was in Germany, and reading in german is cool, too.
