Followed by the disastrous Comet-Enhanced Agni Kai fought between then-Prince Zuko and Princess Azula that destroyed most of the city, a special stadium for Agni Kai duels has been built in the city.
Agni Kai is the name for fire duels fought within the Fire Nation. It is possible for the opponents to fight to the death, though this may not always be the case. The outcome affects the honor of both opponents. The duels are a popular method of resolving conflicts and are a source of entertainment for spectators.
The goal in these duels is to knock an opponent off-balance, and incapacitate them (fatally or otherwise) with a final blow. The favored finishing move is generally a direct fire blast to the face (as evidenced by Prince Zuko's ghastly scar).

Luo Agagisan strolled in the area, looking around at the large stadium. He sighed and began stripping off his armor so that he was bare-chested, as that was the traditional attire for Agni Kai duels. He stood at one end of the stadium, waiting for Hanran to appear. He got a ceremonial red cloak and put it over his back as he sat and waited.

Hanran entered the arena and smirked. He took off his shirt and handed it to one of his servants behind him. "Be careful Agagisan! Don't bargain for more than you can handle!" He yelled to Luo across the stadium.
Nao Mura sat in the seats the stadium had, for spectators to watch two enemy destroy each other. On the way here, Luo had strictly told her not to interfere if he got hurt. Nao looked away from the men. This was stupid.

((If it's okay to say what? O_O Well, this is an Agni Kai duel, emphasize on the 'duel' part.)) Luo Agagisan grinned. "It's 'Fire Lord Agagisan' to you!" He stood up and got into position. He inhaled and exhaled regularly to increase his Firebending power. Firebending was about aggressive attacks and speed, all to overwhelm the opponent. The gong rang and the Agni Kai duel commenced. He began by punching fire at Hanran from across the stadium, then he blasted fire at the floor and Hanran's feet.(( Agni Kai music! Awesome!!!))

Hanran dodged and and blasted blue fire towards Agagisan. Hanran jumped and shot fire from his feet towards Agagisan's stomach.
((Lol not really good at fighting in an rp, but oh well this is fun.))

Luo Agagisan easily sidestepped the blue fire, then slashed away the blast of fire with his bare hands. He ran towards Hanran and jumped, doing a reverse roundhouse kick in midair which blasted an arc of fire at Hanran. He then landed on his feet and blasted fire at him with both hands in the shape of a flower. He breathed heavily and waited to see Hanran's response.

((OMG me too!!)) ((I found tons of vids, on youtube, in's in the playlist, and some in the favorites http://www.youtube.com/user/MiiJigoku ))) Hanran ducked on Agagisan's first shot. But he miscalculated, and Agagisan's next attack hit him in the chest. Hanran ran at his opponent and sent a vortex of flame at Agagisan. He used up alot of power. So he staggered backwards for a split second. But he quickly recovered and kicked more fire out of his feet.

Luo Agagisan frowned and he breathed in heavily. He put his hands near the ground, then raised his hands towards the sky. A wall of fire rose up and blocked the vortex, creating large explosion that could be heard in the city. Luo then blocked the blasts with his hands, slightly burning himself. He used Firebending to create a wave of fire which propelled him forward towards Hanran. He stopped and let the wave of fire move towards Hanran.

(You know, Luo isn't invincible, he needs to get hit sometimes.)
Hanran slashed out his hand and Agagisan's wave of fire passed Hanran harmlessly. But his smirk from before was long gone. He was now breathing deeply, and sweat dripping from his forehead. Hanran held out both hands and shot blue fire towards Agagisan. It split into two halves in front of Agagisan and swirled around him. Soon it seemed to be trying to squeeze him.

((Yes, I know. But if I anybody gets hit by a blue fire sandwich he isn't gonna survive... maybe.))
Luo Agagisan raised his hands to the sky again and a wall of fire pushed him up to the sky, dodging the blue fire sandwich. He sighed and wiped the sweat off his face. He somersaulted backwards and landed on his feet. He inhaled and exhaled heavily, his attention still focused on Hanran. The burns he had on his arm turned out to be much worse, and were now stinging him. He sighed and picked up a wet towel and put it to his wounds. He waited for Hanran to strike again, as he though the best method to win right now was to wear him down.

Kikio glanced away from the fight, not wanting to watch Agagisan get hurt. Night was still perched on her shoulder as she sighed softly. She then shook her head softly. This was useless fighting...

Hanran avoided Agagisan's eyes. He could actually win, but Hanran wouldn't let him. He stood up straight and shot a blast of fire towards Agagisan, but he missed. Hanran cursed. He was tired, that was Agagisan's plan all along, to wear him out. He was breathing deeply, and he staggered. He started becoming wary of his abilities. And lost focus in the duel.

Taking this chance to counterattack, Agagisan stomped into position, taking root in the ground like an Earthbender. He then blasted fire at Hanran with both hands, then walked around and circled Hanran like an Airbender. He breathed heavily, knowing that he had to strike now or lose the chance.

Hanran gaze hardened. He turned towards Agagisan and shot fire balls out of his hands. He roundhouse kicked in the air, and fire surged forward to Agagisan. Quickly, Hanran spun and shot fire in an arch towards his opponent. He then created a fire blade, and shot it at Agagisan. But he missed, and Hanran regretted the move instantly. He had wasted energy hoping his target would stay still. What a stupid move... He thought to himself.

((I mean, Kikio and Nao keep thinking "what a meaningless battle", or "this is pointless".))
Luo Agagisan held out his hand and fire appeared from it, taking the shape of a fan. This was known as the "Fan of Flames" technique. He blew away the first attack, but was thrown backwards from the second attack and crashed into the wall. The fan disappeared in his hand and he spat out some blood, but was overall still okay.
