i am bisexual... and life so far has been full of guys and its really starting to make me lean more towards girls but that's hard to do when no girls like me... and my mom doesn't like bisexuals or anything among the lines of homosexual period. and i know i should wait for this to turn out on its own but i just need some advice to help me get through this... like how to break it to my mom or how to tell these guys to back off because its getting hard to breathe... any kind of advice would be greatly appreciated. <3

I'd like to say that it would be easier to just confess to your parents, but in my experience that actually makes it worse, especially when your parents are homophobic. I think maybe you should try to surround yourself with people of the same 'interests'. Does your school have a GSA, or does your community have a Rainbow Alliance near by? Having someone to talk to sure helps, and those two places will help you make friends with other gay, lesbian and bisexual students/adults. :]

I couldn't agree more about finding a GSA or something. The first step is proving to your mom, and also to yourself, that who you are is totally natural. As for the guys, it's no different even if you were straight but just didn't like the guy. A simple "I don't go there" would suffice. No need to make a court case out of it.

I have to deal with the guy thing all the time. I try it stupidly each time and it never ends well. Be careful breaking it to your mom. People always say it is a good idea but for me my mom I know wouldn't accept it at first and there would go all the slumber parties with all my friends. Wait until you are ready and just tell the guys you aren't interested.

thanks for all the advice! there is a GSA group at my school but... its not very active... and it just seems to me that whenever i try to make friends with other girls period i fail miserably... :/ i try to be myself but i guess it just scares them away... :[

Otome no Koi thanks for all the advice! there is a GSA group at my school but... its not very active... and it just seems to me that whenever i try to make friends with other girls period i fail miserably... :/ i try to be myself but i guess it just scares them away... :[ I'll be your friend! Just try to find the weird people and then be yourself. Seriously I am an anime addicted crazy fan that is always in lolita and my best friend is a trekkie... we never thought we would be friends but now we are the bestest buddies!

according to all the lolitas I have talked to I am... I wear square dancing clothing and I own nothing name brand and I am scandalous... I wear my petticoats without an over skirt

Activate your GSA! Hold club meetings and bring rainbow MnM cookies to them. Remind people its a gSa and it doesn't make you queer to support it! You think I'm making this up, but my friend and I did just that last year. We didn't have a real GSA at our school either and suspected more and more that there were people out there who desperately needed us. We were surprised at the success, the first meeting like 20 ppl showed up and 8 people came out at the same time. biggrin
