Well its short but this is what I've got:
Rhys was dressed in lighter attire than he would normally adorn during battle, his blade was casually wore at his side as the ring on his finger shone. He would come into this battle as he'd enter any other battle, with his confidence high and his skill directly in tail. Black raven strands tickled across his cheeks and covering his eyes lightly, his lids were closed over scarlet iris' as the blue field of vision had located and already broken down the data of his foes attire, nothing special nor resistant to one of many techniques he held under his vast battle experience. His hands moved to loosen his tie and cast it away, as with his vest. He unbuttoned the small plastic flat beads that held his shirt form as he untucked from below his belt line, letting his lean-masculine form show itself and his pristine skin. There were no battle scars for him being hit was a near impossibility.

Unless if you're REALLY literate and your character is a general, then no. This guild runs on literacy.
Even if you're general, only the Earth Queen should be able to metalbend and be the strongest Earthbender.

This might be a stupid question but do we have to wait after we finish our character for someone like a crew member to replie on our character or something before we can rping

Not necessarily, but it's best if you do wait before you go out and fight with your character.
Although most characters aren't even replied to, so we'll only let you know if your character has a problem.
