Alright.. well, long story short, I have a myriad of health concerns, and my doctor has prescribed for me several different things. I made sure to exemplify the fact that I have a genetic disposition to become easily addicted to anything but alcohol, and so he always takes care to give me medication that is non habit forming and anti-dependency. I recently discovered that one of my medications is actually highly addictive, as I found I couldn't quit. I can't say much more, but it's powerful stuff, and my only option was to quit cold turkey and fight it out. That being said.. I need help. I'm slowly losing my rationality amid a varying degree of hallucinations, wracking pain, and intermittent sicknesses. My limbs are currently entirely numb, everywhere else in horrid pain, especially noting a massive migraine. I'm shaking all over, can't taste anything and can't hold down what i can manage to eat, among many other issues. I'm losing my mind, pretty rapidly it would seem. Advice? Obviously, I can't take anything for the pain or to sleep lol.

Well, I did meth for a while and you sound like how I felt about 2 weeks after my last dose. It was a horrible time and the only thing I can suggest is to have a friend call you often to check in on you, at least once every afternoon, 2 hours after you get home. Drink clear liquids like apple juice, water, especially Powerade, because it has sodium in it and it replicates sweat, nutrients you would otherwise lose. Eat lots of fruit, vegetables, and if you can sneak in vinegar. For some reason that helped me greatly.
The hallucinations are what will really get you, because for the longest time I would launch into boughts of paranoia that would make me smell that antiseptic, alcohol/babypowder scent of latex gloves and I would freak out thinking there was a crazy surgeon following me. The only thing I can suggest is to get something like a bracelet to wear that doesn't have a "busy" texture but fits you snug but not tight, that way whenever you have a freakout, you can use it as something to sort of ground yourself. Shut your eyes, let it all go black, ignore any sounds you hear, and focus on that one object, how it feels in your hands, the pressure. A smooth, thick leather band is good. It will help bring you back.
Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I've been rather busy of late. If I had known sooner I would of certainly helped because I know the feeling.

That's essentially what I've been doing, really, though I focus on pieces of music and other such abstract things so it doesn't quite work as well. I've got a few things I try to use for it now though. Thanks for the advice.
