Well the other day me and an old friend decided to go to her house and watch a movie. We decided to watch the old video tape of Mulan that she had bought like, over 10 years ago. We put it in I couldn't help giggling at all of the 'previews' of movied that came out about 10 years ago.
The one that I found cute was when this girl dressed in 90's fashion came out to talk about the new movie 'Tarzan, coming soon in 1999!'. We always had to point out that "OMG THAT MOVIE ALREADY CAME OUT OMGZZZ!" xD
Does anyone else find it funny to see old movies that give 'coming soon' previews to movies that came out a long time ago?

Yes, very much so I have many older Disneys on Video, and you see adverts for The Sword and the Stone. Now that is old! Seeing adverts for other Disney movies just makes you want to watch them aswell!

When I went on vacation there was a VCR and old VHS tapes and thats what me and my cousins did every night after the day at the beach. I had to explain to the littlest one what "rewinding" is. He looked at me like I was crazy.
I have never felt so old.

I don't freak out about previews for movies that came out already, but my sister used to! she complained about how stupid the DVD/VHS was, and then I asked her "how the video will know what movies will come out in modern time when it was made years ago?" sometimes she shut up about it. it's amazing how much knowledge we lose when we become more advanced. unless of course the type of knowledge is cumulative. know what I mean? smile

gonk I forget how old the average people are on here. I'm 20! It's not that old, but my little cousin is five, so by the time he was born we all had DVD players. It's just times like those that make me feel old. I still live at home and go to school so I joke about how I'm not a "real" grown up.

I just remembered something I listened to a while back. have any of you heard of Abbot & Costello? ("What's the guy's name on first base?" "No, What is on second base." "I'm not asking ya who's on second --" "Who's on first!" "I don't know." "Oh, he's on third, we're not talking about that right now.") I have two of their full sketches on my iPod, and every time I listen to them I hear the Camels cigarettes jingle, which praised them and said that they were going to send however many cigarettes overseas to soldiers. it's amazing how much our world has changed...
