Julie & Julia is based off of the book Julie & Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen.
I haven't read the book, but I did like the movie. What I liked about the movie was Meryl Streep. I can see why she was nominated for an Oscar because she had a perfect imitation of Julia Child. She was fabulous in this role.
I'm not a fan of Julie Powell, though (The real one or the one that Amy Adams played). I don't want to be mean, so I'll just leave it at that. wink

I really enjoyed this movie. Julie had a lot of hardships while going through with this project. The duck scene was hilarious, of course. smile
