Ok! I heard that Arwen and Legolas used to be a couple but
Arwen's father didn't like that so arwen went with aragorn.
I really don't believe it but then again I never read the books ^^'
Please help! This question is killing me!!!

Arwen and Legolas were never a couple. They hadn't even met till he arrived for the Counsel of Elrond.
That is what I remember...but I may be wrong. I believe that what I am saying is correct.

I am sure legolas talked with Arwen Evening-star as some point because being a prince of mirkwood he would have probably talked with Elrond about how to rule a kingdom(since legolas's father was ...how to but this nicely...um...a bit...paranoid). and he may have talked with and meet Arwen during the Elvish holidays and festivals. this is all speculation but it sounds good

I agree, plus I'm sure that Legolas had time to talk to others before the Council of Elrond happened. I mean what else is someone gonna do while they wait for everyone to arrive. They didn't all show up on the same day.
Plus you must consider the logic of the situation. If Elrond doesn't Arwen with Legolas then he would be a whole lot madder if Arwen chose Aragorn. If there was the chance of Legolas and Arwen being a couple, then Elrond would be fine with it because Legolas is an elf and will eventually will go to the gray havens anyway.
