Do any of you keep track of which books you read each year, or how many books you read in total? I picked up the habit on LibraryThing, and am now slightly obsessed with keeping a list of which books I read.
Do you have a system, or do you just read when you feel like it?

I have a library thing account too!
I've had it for almost a year, but I've just started updating it. I'm still getting used to it.

I've never heard of this library thing but this year I actually am keeping track of which books I read. Only because I made a resolution to read 40 books by the end of the year. And they have to be at least 100 pages. No manga.
I'm reading my 29th book right now, I think.
But yeah. Other than that, I've never kept track of how many books I've read in total.

@music_goggles: It takes a while to get all your books sorted and all that. I bought a cuecat so I could scan all my books in...then realized a few of my books are pre-barcode.
@kapow123: it's librarything.com and one of the coolest features is you have a chance to win a copy of an upcoming book every month through their early reviewers program. you can type in a book title and find the covers, editions, and recommended titles for your favorite books.
@CaughtThemAll: That's why I started keeping track, too. I wanted to read more books than spend countless hours on flash games.

I had to keep track in fifth grade, but I stopped. Though now that I know of this librarything website, I may have to start keeping track again. You've just been derped.

I use librarything also. It's super convenient for keeping track of all my books.
Anyways, I usually keep track of what I read and set a goal for the year because it helps me to, sort of, keep focused on not reading too many books at once and actually finishing some. Otherwise I end up reading the first few chapters of every book I come across and I never finish anything. I've got a goal of 75 for the year, counting graphic novels, but I'm at 66 right now so I'm thinking I'm going to move it up to 100.

I hit 50 in June, and decided to up it to 100. It's August, and I'm already pushing 90. >,<
