Originally a book by Bernard Mallamud written in 1952, this story follows Roy Hobbs, a man in love with baseball. I read the book and found that it was a bit more random and less orderly than the movie, which I saw first. Then ending of the movie was much better than the book in my humble opinion, but it does change the message of the story.
Which do you like better, the book or the movie? If you didn't see it, you really should, I highly recommend the movie.

This sounds like an interesting book! I haven't heard of the book or the movie. That always bothers me when the endings aren't the same.

Yeah, it's kind of obscure, but it has my mom's favorite actor, Robert Redford, in it, so naturally I watch it all the time. For this one movie only, I was happy with the end change. I cried in the book because it was sad, and I cried at the movie the first time I saw it because I was really happy.
