He stood outside the fence seperating the Shrieking Shack from the rest of Hogsmeade. He knew what it had been used for recently thanks to eavesdropping on his brother. Thanks to the werewolf Lupin's screams and howls every month, the Shrieking Shack served as a perfect place for a meeting. He had gone down the trail from Hogwarts, carving the Slytherin House password onto trees, boards, signs, and scribbling it into stone to leave a trail to this place for 'the meeting'. He climbed over the fence and went to the old house to wait for whoever would show up.
