(Alright, we're going to have this be a routine mission test. Anyone can join in. As this is a posting only system, no dice, make sure that your opponent is given a chance to react. In this case, I'll be making an encounter up.)
"Alright," Mira said as she steered the dragonfly boat, "We're looking for three nin from the Leaf who are seeking refuge here." the gold wren on her shoulder chirped as she looked around, "I know Phoenix, but they don't have anywhere else to go."
She steered the small vessel to the east, "Keep an eye out. There are supposed to be some pretty nasty things in this part of the sky."

((If I see people take a mission with no clear enemy or in the midst of the sky seas, I'm going to create an encounter for you. The post style will look like this and it could be an enemy, a merchant, some lil' old lady who needs help, etc. This is a way to keep the RP interesting, and adds to the fun while at the same time moving the story along, much like the random dungeon encounter in pen and paper RP's.
In this case, let's have Mira face an enemy))
A kunai flew past the ship's nose as three winged reptilian skinned humanoid females flew near the small ship, there tattered rags loosely hanging from their wrinkled bodies as they readied another attack, making it very clear that this intrusion on their airspace was not wanted.

Shane noticed the enemies, and quickly called Saisei from his room, ''Saisei, go tell Mira of this. She probably already knows, but just to be safe.. Also, I'm way to friggin tired to fight all by myself, right now,'' He said, with a slight sigh.

((And I'm about to go help hubby with dinner, so I'll post the initial reaction and then come back and finish this xd
After the event happens, obviously, you react to it. Now Mira has two choices... she could turn the boat around or she could fight.
In some cases the third choice of talking it out is also available, but I doubt Harpies will listen.
Let's have Mira fight biggrin ))
Mira looked up at the attack, and seeing the three winged beasts, she clenched her fists, summoning her flame.
As they were still in the air, she pulled out her cooking oil from her belt and unpopping the cork, flung the oil in front of her and set it on fire directing the flames towards the harpies.

((Obviously, I have to have the encounter continue, so now that both Mira and Shane have reacted to the encounter, it's their turn again.))
The fire hit one of the harpies, burning it's wing as it fell to the ground below, but the other two were unharmed.
And rather pissed from the looks of it. Screeching, they start to dive on the small vessel.

Saisei ran up to where Mira was, and sighed after noticing the harpies. He put his hands out, and a golden bow appeared in his hands, along with chakra filled golden arrows. He aimed it at one of the harpies, inserted wind chakra into it, in order to make it fly quicker, as well as pierce deeper, and shot at its torso. With the current wind, the arrow could stray of course, though it was unlikely. However, he hadn't put all that much effort into the shot, and it was only moving at about 25Meters/PS.

Mira's fists were still in flames and as the harpies dived, she drew her arm back, ready to hit one as it landed. When the creature was close enough she let her punch loose on one of them.

Saisei's arrow may have been slow, but as the harpies were diving, it hit his target dead on, causing that one to join her sister in the fall below.
The other ran face first into Mira's thrown fist, but it merely reared back and howled, readying an attack with it's sharp talons.
However, she was greatly crippled as the flames on Mira's fist had blinded her.

Saisei put his hands together, and slowly made handsigns. He bit his thumb, drawing a small amount of blood, and pulled out a scroll. He slid his thumb across the scroll, ''Summoning Jutsu!'' He yelled, as a giant, golden dragon came flying down, out of the skies. Ardniel wasted no time, before charging directly at the Harpie, from the side.

((I'm not even having Mira go into her turn. That's an obvious win xD.
And the winning posts will look like this. *cue the music))
The golden dragon snatched up the harpie in his teeth and in a flurry of feathers and bones, the last of them was gone.
((Sometimes there are rewards after these encounters, not this time, but sometimes you'll get something neat for your character.
And be back laters. Dinner 3nodding ))

Saisei smiled, ''Later,'' He said, before walking down to Shane's office, once again. Once inside, Shane smiled at Saisei, and gave him a hug, ''I'm proud of you, son,'' Saisei smiled back, and Shane lifted him up, and went to search for Naruto.
