This is the airways between the Hidden Villages, the Floating Continents, and the small little bits of floating land that make up the world. There are many levels, but there is a point where if you go so high your ship won't fly, and consequently, the same if you go too low. There are rumors of an inventor in the Land of Lightning who is working on ways to modify the airships to travel all the way to the moon and another inventor, also in the Land of Lightning, who is more interested in the ocean that is many miles below the floating continents. Both are rumored missing, and it seems that it was the Akatsuki who took them, according to reports...

The boat slowly lifted up high into the skies, to a point where there was seemingly only a few hundred feet left of sky above them, before they reached the Trophosphere. Shane then stopped the boat, and looked around.

Yuko looked around as well, in awe. She never been in up in the skies before but had a feeling of dread, feeling that this is no joy ride.
"What is going on?" Yuko spoke.

Above the boat, there is the sound of whale song as a large...really ******** MASSIVE!
...
blue whale appears swimming a few meters above your heads. Currently, he has no interest in you.

Fear and shock were in her eyes for a split second before she got control of herself.
"What the hell is that thing?" She muttered "I never seen anything quite like that! Maybe it won't bother us."

He smiled, ''I didn't know what we were going to do, but now... Now, we're going to kill s**t. Get ready, Yuko. I've honestly never faced this thing before, but judging by how high up it is, this is not going to be an easy fight,'' He said, before drawing his two blades, and leaping into the air. Black feathers began to swim around his body, that enabled him to stay in the air, rather than fall. To get the attention of the whale, he quickly made handsigns, before exhaling a large fireball, in the whales direction.

The whale cried angrily as he sensed Shane coming, trying to swish his tail to evade the attack.
Then... everything went silent for a split second... as if the wind around the whale had changed.

"Alright." She said "I'll be your back up. If it is really has strong has you say it is, I should dodge and prepare to heal. No use for both use to fighting without anyone else right now or we'll both be killed."
She watch as Shane made his first move. But pulled out some weapons. knowing it wouldn't be any match for it but it may help protect her at least.
(oops. Got it now. LOL And I'm going by how medics are supposed to avoid getting hit as if they died, there won't be anyone to help but that could change.)

Shane quickly dashed to the whales direction, but stopped several dozen feet infront of it. After stopping, Saisei leaped next to Shane, and quickly readied his bow. Shane lifted his hand up for a second, before the feathers quickly flew to the whales direction. [There's still enough feathers to sustain his flight. Saisei is able to fly because it is one of his special abilities, as an Eidolon.]

The feathers hit the whale, turning into crows that pecked at him and obscured his vision, despite the shield of wind that they ripped through, causing another angry cry.
Suddenly, he turned towards Saisei and Shane and flapped his massive wings.

Seeing the whale heading towards Shane and Saisei, she preformed a healing jutsu, ready to use it just in case. "Shane, Saisei! Look out!" Yuko shouted.

Shane quickly grabbed Saisei, and forced some of his chakra outwards, forming a black orb around them. The feathers retreated from the whale, and swam around the shield. ''Eclipse of Wings!'' Shane yelled, as he was pushed back. However, their was alot of resistance in the shield, so he was only slowly being pushed back.

Wind picked up behind Saisei and Shane, even as they were enveloped in their protective jutsu and the whale flapped his wings once more.
