A Quidditch field is typically in the shape of an oval, five hundred feet long and a hundred and eighty feet wide, with a small central circle of approximately two feet in diameter. At each end there are three hooped Goal posts of different heights, surrounded by a scoring area. The early barrel-goals had been replaced by baskets on stilts. Qudditch is a sport in the Magical world. It is described as an extremely rough, but very popular, semi-contact sport, played by wizards and witches around the world (Or from the different houses). Matches are played between two teams of seven players riding flying broomsticks, using four balls and six elevated ring-shaped goals. Quidditch holds a fervent following similar to the position soccer holds as a globally popular sport.
