A teenage boy, accused of a crime, is sent to a correction facility that has some secrets of its own.
Genre: Mystery? Young Adult.
Zero is my favorite character. Even though he was the one who landed Stanley at Camp Greenlake, he's so endearing that Stanley didn't even care. Also, Zero hit Mr. Sir in the face with a shovel. Yes.
Question: Was there any way for Stanley to prove his innocence? Was there any way for him to not be sent to Camp Greenlake (Obviously he could have gone to jail, but that's not preferable wink )

As long as that curse was on him he couldn't have proved innocent. ((Mind you I've only seen the movie, but would hopefully like to read it too.))

I haven't read this book since the fifth grade. I remember loving the book and the movie more than air.
I do agree, the curse would have prevented his innocence being proven. Also (since I have been watching a lot of crime shows lately....), he probably wouldn't be able to be proven innocent unless there were some video cameras around where the shoes were stolen or where Stanley found them, or some witnesses that could vouch for the fact that it was someone else who stole them. The court wouldn't have any evidence to consider, just the fact that he was found with them and claimed they fell from the sky.
Ok....back to SVU.

I see what you mean. There was no proof really. He had the shoes. That dirty rotten pig-stealing great great grandfather! (lol how many times do they say that phrase in the movie? a lot!)
Which character did you guys like best? Xray was another one of my favorites.

I remember really liking Zero. I know there were a couple others that I liked but I haven't read it in so long I'm having trouble remembering any of their names.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! It was adorable. I loved how the past played a role in the present. And the curse. And Zero. That was just so cool. I mean the way the author set that up was just brilliant!
I think Zero was my favorite character too.
