I love reading, but I also watch tv sometimes. xd
Some of my favorite shows are How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory. How about you?
P.s. Do you like tv shows that are based off of books? An example is Legend of the Seeker which is based off of a fantasy series.

I liked the Dune series which is based off the books by Frank Herbert.
T.v shows I like are Burn Notice and House is cool.

I don't watch too much TV lately. Most of what I do watch is off-the-air sci-fi shows like Farscape, Stargate, and Firefly. The shows I watch that are currently on... I think Doctor Who is the only one that I follow consistently. I was watching SGU, but it lost my attention.

SGU sucks. You should watch SGA (Stargate Atlantis) or Sg1 (Stargate Sg-1) Those are really the best of the Stargate series, the movies are really good too.
Also I think shows and movies have no originality anymore. Like all the new movies are being based off books (and completely screwing them up) or remakes of old Tv shows.

You have a point there. A lot of show remakes are disappointing.
That's why for the most part I stick to sitcoms. I know they're not creative or original but they make me laugh.

Yeah, that's why I gave up on SGU. To me they tried to be too edgy and dark and lost the whole feel of Stargate. I've watched and own all of SG-1 and it's related movies, and I've watched the majority of Atlantis too.

O absolutely adore The Big Bang Theory. Law and Order SVU is my favorite though. I haven't watched many shows based off books, but I have read a couple Star Trek books and that has a T.V Show, so maybe that counts?

When I was in the fourth grade, I actually read Full House books. Somebody actually took the Stephenie character and wrote a series of books about her going through jr. high. neutral Oh, the horror!

I enjoy House M.D, Burn Notice, White Collar, Warehouse 13, I liked Firefly, DUNE, Farscape, SG-1 (but I'm sorry I miss O'Neal and for me Teal'c should still be bald... XP) The X-files I love. heart Project Runway, Top Chef, Sons of Anarchy, American Chopper, Glee, Law and Order:SVU, NCIS... all are my guilty pleasures.
But that Legend of the Seeker movie... I just can't. I ADORE the series the movie was based on and once I saw the cast particularly who they chose to play my favourite character I said to myself "Hell no." gonk So I haven't seen it and wont see it. xp
I used to watch the Dresden files that used to be on Sci-fi excuse me SyFy rolleyes that is based on a series of books by Jim Butcher. I thought it was quite good but it didn't last obviously.
Oh and of course there was Zena and Hercules. Yes, I really did watch those...

My guilty pleasure is watching Gossip Girl and The Vampire Diaries. However, when I picked up the books, I felt like the tv shows had more depth than the books. I know this is partly because the series deviated significantly from the source material, but has anyone else thought about this?
As for the rest, I like Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who & Castle.

No worries, I frequent the CW from time to time too. xp I don't have time to watch every week but I tune into those shows sometimes. Hey, they're based off of high selling books! I really want to get into Castle. Isn't Nathan Filion in that? He's awesome.

I, too, basically just watch sit-coms. The only TV show that I do watch that isn't a sit-com would be Bones.
