Hey Cherry! It's great to have you.

I've heard about Once dead, Twice Shy. It seems like an exciting start to a series.

Salutations,

My name is Ryuka Shiroi Bara, Ryuka will do. I don't have a favourite book, there are so many that I love. However, when I was in grammar school I suppose my favourite was The Dark Is Rising series by Susan Cooper.

My favorite book that I was required to read for school was To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee or perhaps Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë.

Currently I am reading Under the Dome by Stephen King.

Pleased to make your acquaintance. heart

Welcome Ryuka!

I love To Kill a Mockingbird. We watched the movie in my 9th grade English class and it was great.

I've heard about Under The Dome. To be honest, I heard that it's really long. xd Is that right?

Well... sweatdrop yes its about 1072 pages. Quite a tome perhaps, but I adore Stephen King so a "doorstop" like Dome doesn't phase me. In fact the vast majority of his books are bricks.

Oh ok! My brother went through a King phase a couple of summers ago. He went out and bought a lot of his books at a used book sale. I should try them sometime!

Thanks for the invite. Book discussions are always great, here's to hoping this guild does well.

Anyways, I'm Infinity Outlaw. My favorite book when I was younger was The Hobbit. My favorite book now is probably either Ubik or City of Saints and Madmen. The first is a sci-fi novel focused on what is real by Philip K. d**k, short but great. The second is a collection of short stories and "non-fiction" focusing around a fictional city, sort of a dark fantasy/new weird book. I'm a big sci-fi fan, though I journey into most genres to some degree or another. It gets boring to just stick with one genre all the time, so I'll give most things a try at least once.

I'm currently reading The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch, The Scar, Crime and Punishment, and Oliver Twist. Yeah, I'm one of those people who can never seem to read just one book at a time. Horrible habit of mine.

Nice to meet you all.

It's great to have you Infinity Outlaw! Yeah, I'm hoping this works out too.

I agree about reading different genres. I recently found a fiction guide that I've been working my way through. They have a whole chapter on spy books. xd

Hello! I'm Skyedivin. My favorite books would have to be Exodus by Julie Bertagna, Uprising by Margaret Peterson Haddix, Graceling by Kristin Cashore, In My Hands: Memories of a Holocaust Rescuer by Irene Gut Opdyke with Jennifer Armstrong, and basically anything by Nancy Werlin, Scott Westerfeld and Sarah Dessen (and even though her books all have the exact same, carbon copy, weak plot - I still love them!).

Currently reading: The Carbon Diaries: 2015 by Saci Lloyd, 1984 by George Orwell, and rereading the Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan.

Hey Skyediving, glad you could join! I used to read a lot of Margaret Peterson Haddix books. Didn't she write the forbidden children series, or something like that?
