Falling On Midnight
I walk here, on midnight's path
Teenage rage and drifter's wrath
I do fall for one final time
Death's clock, for the youth, do chime
By my spirit, mother does cry
Please, at least tell her why
Why must a mother bury her child?
My young heart so tender and mild...
I was not ready to say goodbye
But even so, there I lie
My lifetime was far from finished
My time, it was barely even blemished
Explain it to my tearful dad
Tell him why my mother's so sad
Show him where my body does lie
Over it, my friends do cry
Confess to them why you chose me
Share with them why it be
Here my blood, a crimson bath
Where I fell, on midnight's path.
