There is a difference here ... by being a hero .. I assume like in Kick a** ... here's the problem with that ... naturally humans don't like to fight ... when it comes to fight or flight ... people naturally choose flight ... unless of course backed into a corner ... in which case a person will fight like a caged animal ... but that is besides the point ... people don't have super powers ... we can't fly without the use of something to help us ... we don't have super strength ... we are not impervious to bullets ... we are fragile beings that if anything ... the world we live in has thousands upon thousands of ways to kill us ...
Now when I think of heroes ... I think of people that come a person's aid ... say a young women is being attacked ... or your wounded comrade is out in the open getting shot at ... they don't think ... they act ... they move and do what they have to do ... even though the brain is screaming at them, "Are you ******** insane. You're gonna get get oursevles killed." ... and after it is all done ... and they are told that they are a hero ... they simply say, "No, I'm not a hero." ... that is what a hero is to me ...

Baka's assessment is largely correct, plus one must consider the legal ramifications of vigilantism. It is highly illegal to do most of the things that "super heroes" do in the line of duty, and while most would like to think that you can simply get out of there before the cops do the sad reality is that the likelihood of getting shot, stabbed, mugged, spindled, twisted, savaged, and otherwise injured precludes a guarantee of such things. If one wants to be a modern super hero, they need only join the police force, the fire department, or the United States military in my view.

I think he means like a super hero ... most normal people that do "heroic" action would not normally expect any sort of repayment ... but with everything in our world ... well it's like everyone is statistic ... everyone has a monetary value ... it is a sad and unfortunate truth ...

ok check out this site for those of you who think that people aren't real super heros. And if you find it awesome and want to join. Look up Pitch Black in the forums. This man is the picture of a super hero.

And neither is cheap. I believe that being a superhero is less about confrontation with the "bad guys" and more about being willing to stand against the things they represent. "All that is required for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." A superhero, when you think about it, is little more than a symbol for the public, someone willing to stand up and do some good to show that even the lowliest soul can make a difference against evil if they are willing to raise themselves to that level.
