Minu was strolling through the grassy fields that she called home. The area was mostly open with rolling hills, cliffs and mountains in the distance with a forest a brisk, one-day run away.
Her mind was on a fox she had met recently. L Lawlight. He was a fascinating individual! Never seemed to get bored with the constant guessing game that was her method of speech. Always nibbling on something sweet. Vaguely she wondered if mint plants would tide the addict, since berry bushes weren't all too common around her home.
The reason she was wondering was due to an invitation she had extended him to visit her home. That one had taken awhile to get through! So had the question about where L's home was. She'd felt a little sorry for him having no place he called home, even if he preferred it like that; everyone should have something to come back to!
Minu kept her eyes and ears open. Not talking had some perks; she spent more time listening. Her hearing was quite as good as some wolves she had met who were blind.

Padding about through the cool tall grass L Lawlight was on his way toward a new aquaintances home. Minu interested him from the first moment they had met. She'd chosen never to speak, save for giving him her name. What surprised him far more than anything else was her willingness to be around him. Though shock rarely registered on his facial features, he'd gawked inwardly as she'd made her invitation clear. Of course he'd accepted. She facinated him to no end, speaking through actions and everything.
To the odd detective, finding such a female made him...excited? Was that the appropriate word? Perhaps he was just happy. It was hard to tell for him. But regardless that feeling rose inside him as he spotted her unusual coat. She stood out just as much as he...well...he stood out more what with wearing clothing. But still, she was easy to find. Shaking his head he attempted to stop further thoughts from surfacing so he could focus on her.
As he got closer he stopped and reached into a pocket of his jeans, pulling out a good amount of berries he'd found on the way. Seeing as his pants were very baggy, he could carry them without crushing them. "Afternoon Miss Minu. Thank you once more for inviting me over here." He stopped and sat in his unique way a polite distance away, offering a few berries to her as he popped one into his mouth. "You have a lovely home here, if I do say so myself."

Minu smiled, tail wagging a little in a pleased manner. Her home really was loevly, she was quite proud of it. She nodded in response to L's thanks and comment.
She accepted the berries with another smile, and a laugh in her eyes. The berries were scarce around this terrain, something she had to go into the forest for, and were a treat. The laugh was more for L's odd attire. She'd never seen a fox where clothes like a human. It made her wonder how he wasn't forever tripping.
Minu finished her sweets and stood up. She looked out over the rollings hills, took a few steps forward, then turned her head to look back at L. She wanted to show L more of her home. It really did had pretty views, if you just knew how to look.

Having sat down and finished his berries he cleaned his paw of berry juice, all the while keeping an unblinking eye on Minu. That was another quick most found very weird. He never felt the need to close his eyes, so he always seemed to be staring off into space.
As she stood and looked off into other parts of her home he stood as well, catching on that she wished to show him around more. "I would love to see more. It is very relaxing here." His pants got in the way on occasion, but it was due to the bagginess. Giving a quick tug on the legs of his jeans to uncover his hind paws, he began padding around slowly taking in the different sights.
He looked forward to having her show him to the places she liked most around here. It interested him that she had chosen a home away from others. Though considering her lack of speech, or the willingness to do so, it made some sense. Having other hollows and addicts spending all her time playing guessing games. Shaking his head he focused on her, waiting to be shown more. "Excuse any vacant looks. I tend to go off in thought once in a while."

Minu made an understanding expression. She walked along with L, slowly steering him to one of her favorite spots; a view from one of the highest hills.
Once they reached it she looked out over the view. Flat land, covered in tall grass. When the wind moved through it it looked like waves. An entire green ocean.

As he felt himself being lead to a specific spot he smiled slightly, enjoying Minu's company. When the tall hill reached his view he gaped inwardly in shock, wonder filling his unblinking eyes.
"Beautiful..." He quickly found a spot to sit, looking out over the grassy flat land with interest. "Wow..."

Minu nodded and sat, smiling as she looked over at the field. It really was one of her favorite places. If L stuck around there would be a full moon later that night. The fields were even more beautiful at night!
She would have been content to sit there for much longer, but as her guest L got to decide what they would do. She tried to think of a way to ask.
Minu brushed her tail against his to get his attention. She looked pointedly at the field, then at their location, then all around them. She looked back at L and raised an eyebrow questioningly.

Lost in the beauty of where Minu had brought him the brush of her tail not only got his attention, but also managed to startle the normally calm hollow. "Oh!" Blushes softly hearing himself yelp.
Blinking he watches Minu motion around, a smile spreading across his mawl. " Oh well it is very lovely here. I am curious if there is perhaps a body of water nearby? A river, lake, creek, spring...really anything." Of course there would be, Minu would need to be able to get drinks. But he had no idea where to go.
The way she looked at him questioningly made him chuckle lightly, an almost monotone sound. He wasn't used to laughing that much so his sounded odd.

Minu pulled a face of comical suffering. She got up, tapped L with her nose, then turned and starting an easy run.
The fields weren't the best places for water. Too much wind and not enough rain. The land just wasn't shaped for it. They would have to go a distance to reach the borders of the fields.
There was a thin border of trees that made almost a meadow. It was another place Minu enjoyed. You could see through the trees to the grass lands on one side, and peer into the darker forest on the other side. Kind of a meeting of two worlds. This was the nearest source of water.
It would take about ten minutes of continuous light running, but Minu wasn't worried. She was in great shape, and even through the baggy clothes she could tell Lawlight had powerful legs.

Seeing that face drew another chuckle from him. Noting her taking off at an easy run he quickly stood and started to follow at a close pace doing his best to stay close. Moving too quickly or too suddenly had the possability of his pant legs tripping him up, but going too slow might loose her.
Keeping this pace was easy enough, though he did feel badly that his request took her so far from a spot she'd clearly enjoyed. The sight of the field and thick woods so close together astounded him in such a way he very nearly lost his footing. Catching himself he hoped she hadn't seen his slip up.

Minu turned her head as she reached the first trees, both to get a look at the land and to make sure Lawlight was fine. She saw the slip, but her giggle was silent and he was too busy getting back up to have seen the slight tremors in her body that was her silent laugh.
The starry female trotted forward. Willows borded the edge the of the clearing, trees that did fine in forested or plained areas as long as there was a ready source of water nearby. Willows were what made up the majority of the border between the clearning and the plains. Oaks and sycamores filled in the rest of the space. There was the occasional maple and pine bordering the forest edge.
In the middle of the clearing was a large pond. It was easily big enough for several Hollows to enjoy a swim. The water was cool and a blue so light as to reflect the sky.
