'Ello. Now that the RP is launched, I've decided to create this thread for the members to chat. This is not in the chatterbox for a reason - that place is for any off topic chapter, while this topic is specifically supposed to pertain towards the RP. Here you can organize with fellow RPers events such as fights and teams for missions.
So basically, instead of cluttering up the RP with things like:
"Bob walked over to Sally and said, "loL wAnt 2 liek fiGHt me in teh ARENA so I kan show u how EPIC my SKILLS are and how I'm going to be da most PWNZORS shAman EVER???!!??!!111!!??!1one!!!1!!eleven?"
You can do it here. This way the RP won't be festering with useless chatter than can be easily organized here, so that if Sally didn't want to team up with Bob, she could just say no here.
You can also just have fun and discuss things here, chat with other members and suggest cool new things for the RP.

(PS, I can not STRESS any further how much I want your posts to be legible. That means use what you learned in school with the proper grammar and punctuation. :3 Then we'll all be happy campers.)

Although I fully understand who this is directed at, I hope I didn`t do anything out of order, Star ;;^^.
By the way, Vex, you should find yourself a spellcheck, or go over your post a little. Everyone types at least one or two paragraphs, and they keep everything grammatically correct, and spell-wise, everything is accurate. (Unless there`s a rare accident, which everyone has at some point)
As I said, the guild is pretty laid-back, activity-wise. So noone demands huge paragraphs. You can only do that if you wanna show off XD but we do expect, at the very least good spelling.
You`ll find, if this is your first guild, that people get annoyed very quickly if you don`t have the manners to type legibly.(It`s not just Star lol)
Besides, if you don`t type legibly, eventually you`ll get used to it, and getting someone to take you seriously will be very difficult, especially as it comes across rather immaturely.
So yea, rant over, I just really think you should follow the above orders and type using spelling and grammar. If you get used to bad typing, typing at all will become impossible. It also makes it harder for people to reply. It`s also rude, again, because some people roleplay to hone their ability to write. You can`t roleplay at your best if others roleplaying isn`t on par.

It's directed at every newcomer, no one specific. Though it was inspired after seeing what could happen if there wasn't any direction put out. I've moderated many RPs and this has happened many times. And no, you didn't do anything out of order. I always appreciate when a mod steps up and tries to explain something nicely in my absence. ^^ Good post/rant, on that note.

Since this roleplay is moving along really slowly (hopefully, it won't continue), approximately when will the new session start? Will it be sooner now, or will it stay the same as planned?

I think Star has either too little time, or she simply wants us all to finish talking and such before moving on.... If she still doesn`t move it along, I think I might start, since I`ve got things mostly under control now...

My bedtime during the week is ..*checks clock* now/earlier, so I can`t rp past this time unless holidays or the weekend (living in Ireland means having a weird timezone)>< I want to update her profile first though, it`s been awhile...She`ll still be sassy and flirty though ^.~ I want to keep her as in character as my other guilds though; the previous Allura of this guild was too....bi-polar.

And concerning whether or not StarHowl wants to wait or is too busy, it's likely to be both. There's only two people (JFK and I) that are responding to the role-play... while there are quite some other shamans left to post. I'm just wondering about those.

Why does everyone call me that...Call me Crim or Crimson^^ Allura`s my future daughter characters name heh. I can start now since it`s friday.
As for all the inactive ones....I think I mentioned it before, but they never even posted back when Night was active....(well, active-ish) and are pretty much deadweight. Personally, I think we should send an announcement out saying anyone who hasn`t posted in 1 month(minimum) will be banned. They can come back if they want, but if they won`t post, they should beat it!
Also think the profiles forum; that should have all profiles moved to the old topics/archives forum.....Except the ones who are active. *nod* That`s my perfectionist/control freak self talking.
Tmerril talked to me awhile back, said he was visiting somewhere..I don`t think he`ll be back for a good while.
Also, Star, next time you get on: I feel the profile layout, despite it`s simplicity, is rather inadequate. Until you give your opinion, I`m just going to add whatever I think is necessary to my own profile, like the Spirits personailty instead of just the Shamans.
Also, perhaps once we have more people, and the guild is more active, we stop roleplaying both? I feel it`s much more interesting, and forces people to rolepaly more if they have to find and bond with their Spirit beforehand, rather than simply making up whatever backstory they want. It helps show the character developing too.
Just ideas though, I start thinking when work piles on and I wind up bored after.

Bleh, sorry to keep calling you Allura. I forget sometimes. I shall call you Crim again some other time when I feel like it.
I agree to the booting of inactive people (perhaps one month after the announcement is sent). Perhaps we can have some recruiters to look for more active role-players.
Pointing to your suggestion of bonding now. To me, this seems like a good suggestion, however it depends on how well it is done. (My RP characters are always based off characters and people that I already have an idea beforehand. Perhaps it'll be fun retelling it all, but it depends on how we're going to do it.)
If this shall be in a RP storyline style, people are going to be at different stages of their bonding and shall need to wait longer before the ShamanSchool can start due to the different activity ranges. Perhaps we can have a subforum with one thread for each spirit-and-shaman (think of the profile threads). There, each pair can perform their own styled ritual of bonding or have their own short story of how they met. (This is will eye-bleed for anyone that cannot type decently, but is more organized in a sense... Agree? Yes, no?)

A month would be forever...but it`d give plenty of warning. Although, at this stage, they`ve had plenty of time..
I mean, Spirits and Shamans being roleplayed by seperate people...it`d be hard though I guess, since we already started the school...and the idea of backstories in threads like that will indeed be hellish with illiterates...Personally, starting from scratch would be better....but it`s abit late now, since it`s begun. Roleplaying out the meeting....We already have that seperate beginnings thread, so that counts well enough...
Edit: Just noticed, can`t join till next shift...*pout*

I like this current system of roleplay, with a short introduction made by yourself in one post. However, the activity and wait for other people to post is what's mainly slowly everything down. Hopefully more people will post and the shift will come earlier. *crosses fingers*

ASL;AKSJDF;LAKSJF. I've gotten myself off my misunderstood, damn proud arse and I'm ready to take charge.
Things will be far more rapid-fire now.
Excuse my absence, there have been family issues, school-issues and various other things that would never be understood without pages and pages of backstory. So, all that matters is I'm back and ready to put this in gear. There shouldn't be too many problems now that I'll be moderating this every day. ^-^
