Well, for a long time now, I have been a supporter of Homosexual rights and just a supporter of them in general. I was raised Christian and still am a Christian but I feel that I am not like everyone else in my religion. I do not judge people by what sin they are committing and frankly I have my own radical beliefs as well that I will share with you later.
I had been thinking about making a guild like this for a long time before the event that completely got me to make it occurred. I mean, I side with the nerd who is being picked on by the bully every time, whether they are bigger than me or not (I am totally not calling you guys nerds). So, even though I am Christian, I side with who I believe is being picked on for no reason. Whoever says that you are walking in a life of sin is a hypocrite, because everyone is sinful, and every sin is equal in the quantity. Almost everything we humans think, do and say is a sin. Because, according to god, we are sinful in nature.
Anyways, onto what really pushed me to make this guild. When I was in middle school we had a tightly knit group of five friends. All of these friends had a different role in this group: The leader that is bitchy if your on the outside but amazing if you were one of the five, the video-game nerd that hates anime, the anime n00b that made us all laugh, the goth freak, and the puppy dog that just tagged along with everyone. The group began dropping off one by one, starting with the leader who is now 17 and is engaged to a 22 year old. Then it moved on to the goth freak, who I didn't believe at first. She began to fade more an more but the Gamer dropped before her to me. As the goth dropped more and more things got worse and worse. My completely dropping her as a friend is what completely assuaged me to make this guild.
After the overturn of Proposition 8, because it was unconstitutional, The Goth's status on Facebook was very much that of an overly judgmental Christian. She called the Anime n00b an Abomination along with saying several other rude things to other people. Her uncle chimed in and was saying how everyone denying The Goths good head on her shoulders and agreeing that Proposition 8 being overturned was good was going to Hell and was just being rude in general. He never once focused on the good things about being a Christian but the bad while being very sarcastic and horrible to other people. The whole time I was being as calm as possible and merely saying that the way that he was speaking wasn't the way that a true Christian would. He then, after I called him on it, began saying things that were good about being a Christian. The defining moment was when the Goth got online and agreed with him. I was so upset with how she had become that I immediately blocked her. The next morning her status was, once again, rude. I was told that it said a couple of things, but in the end this "If you are against my god remove yourself from my friends list because you are against me because my god is a big part of my life." With how strict her religion is, I am sure that her god is not the same as mine.
I am tired of the people I love being told that they are walking sin and that God smites the very path they walk on by Christians that aren't even true Christians by rule. Everyone that speaks the way that they do is committing even more sin than who they are speaking to. Hate and Prejudice is a great sin, and they believe that they are to holy to commit a sin. They accept that they have sinned once a month in The Sacrament of Holy Communion then believe that they are free and clear rather than accepting that there is no possible way to not sin. Because they take communion they believe that they are better than everyone else and that is not the true Christian way.
I want to support everyone that is Oppressed by idiotic people, which is why I made this guild, to support everyone in it with alll the encouragement and advice I can give.
