As the survivor, you must constantly be alert for zombies, a zombie can come a long way to find you and attack.

1. Things you MUST do: You need to be armed at all times, your survival is heavily dependant upon your weapon of choice. You must have at least 4 extra people when it comes to protecting an area, but when it comes to wandering, you best go alone. You must always have a decent amount of supplies on hand, if you don't, it could be lethal to your health.
2. Things you must NOT do: You NEVER go charging at a group of zombies, even if you may be wearing tight clothes, they still have a chance to grab you and you take the risk of becoming infected. Do not try to poison zombies, they are completely immune to all types of poison. Don't go into melee combat unless it is absolutely neccesary and needed to be done.

3. Things you may wish to do: You may be wandering and you find a large house, if you choose to search it, check every room first and don't hesitate, if you find nothing or noone is within the vicinity, then you may barricade the entrances and windows. If you choose to scrounge for resources, you'll probably need a form of transportation, trucks or vans are perfect for luggages or some resources.

Metal v.s. Wood

Wood objects are common in the world, such as the classic baseball bat, or the broomstick, these items are lighter and easier to handle, but the durability lasts o so shortly. Metal, on the other hand, is uncommon, their are only so many tools in the world you can utilize that are metal. Metal won't break easily, but it's significantly heavier than wood, keep this in mind when your deciding your weapons of choice.

Don't be a fool and throw random objects, if you do, it can lead to a horrible and foolish death. Instead, shoot the zombie, dice the zombie, burn the zombie, blow the zombie up, heck, decapitate the zombie. Just destroy the brain. stare

Loud noises and large groups of people make it easier for zombies to detect you, keep this in mind when traveling.

You need to make sure you have a good ration of supplies on hand such as non-perishable foods, clean water and ammunitions for weapons. Perhaps even gasoline or batteries for electricity.

Locations are also a factor, rural communities may have fewer supplies, but will have a less amount of zombies. Urban cities or towns will have a larger amount of zombies, but may provide alot more supplies, there is a balance in between.

Hair

Which will you choose? Your gorgeous luscious hair? Or your own life, free of infection? I'm pretty sure it won't be a big deal once you've been dragged by your long hair into the afterlife. The shorter your hair, the less chance of a zombie grabbing it. Unfortunate (stupid) people have been literally dragged by their hair to their gruesome deaths. So next time your at the barber shop, might wanna ask to cut down a couple inches of your hair.
