Hello all. : )
Well, I'm not quite sure how to type this up, so I guess I'll just...try?
Alright, well, awhile back, one of my church's pastors told me I should write down the things that I wanted God to do for me in my life. She told me how she had done the same thing many years ago, and within a few years, he'd already began to move in many of the things she had written down.
Well, just last year I decided to try it. No harm in trying, right? Well, one of the things I had written down was that I wanted to visit every state at least once.
It has been a little less than a year since I wrote that. A few months ago I called my dad up. Now, before I continue, I guess I should tell you that my relationship with my dad's been kind of...on and off for a long time. It wasn't until a year or so ago that we've really began to connect again.
Well, an hour or so after I called him, he called me back. Apparently he and my step mother were going to Arizona to help a friend move, and they asked if I wanted to go with them. I, of course, said yes.
In the past four days, I have been in several different states. I've been in Missouri, Illinoise, Arkansaw, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and of course, Arizona. I got to see the Grand Canyon, and the Painted Desert.
This is a trip that would have been impossible for me right now. I have no job, I'm a full-time volunteer at my church's soup kitchen/thrift store. My dad and step-mom paid for my whole part of the trip.
It's amazing...and I'm really moved by what God's done for me. (And my step-mother and dad as well, of course.) He's taken me to places I never dreamed I'd ever get to see, especially not so soon. I'm incrediblly touched and just...completely amazed at how good God really is to us.
Um...if ya'll want to comment on this, feel free. I'm sorry it's not amazingly written, I've been riding in a truck all day helping their friend move so I'm really worn out. I just wanted to share this small testimony with you guys, because I'm just really...well, in awe.

That's awesome how God has provided you with a way to do that!

Tons. I saw things I thought I'd never get to see. It was really amazing. The Grand Canyon is probably one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to.
It's definitely whet my appetite to see more of this world that God created. It's such a beautiful place, and I want to see and experience more of it.
Before this trip, the only three places I had ever been to were Wisconsin, Missouri, and Illinois. I'd never really ventured out of that little box. Now that I have...well, I just really hope God will let me see even more of the world he created. At least more of the United States. : )
