 The Serpent's Pass is a narrow strip of land between the Western and Eastern Lakes that links the western and eastern halves of the Earth Kingdom, and is one of the very few direct paths to the capital, Ba Sing Se. It is named after the serpent which guards it, which makes the pass feared in the Earth Kingdom. Most refugees refuse to use the pass and instead cross the lake by ferry from Full Moon Bay nearby.

((In case you didn't know, I had to drag your characters on board while they were sleeping because you guys were offline.))
A Fire Nation ship slowly arrived and moved towards the Serpent's Pass with high speed, leaving a trail of black smoke behind it. On the ship, a young adult with short black hair and Fire Nation armor held a telescope, looking at the famous Serpent's Pass. "Wow... it's much more gloomier than I imagined," Colonel Luo Agagisan remarked, looking at the mountains. He turned to his friend, Kikio. "Hey, watch out for any serpents. They're rumored to be extinct, but that's what they called the sky bison a few years ago."

Jiro looked at the mountains and scanned the area with his red eyes, "this place is so empty." He then walked over to luo, "we may need a waterbender at the lower part of the ship in case it gets damaged they can freeze it and stop the flooding." He then sat down on the stairs, he was bored and had nothing to do.

"If I see it, can I shoot fire at it?" Kikio replied with a grin. She laughed softly and looked out over the water.

Luo Agagisan glanced at his fellow officers. "You mean, damage from the serpents? Come on... and don't endanger an endangered species even more. But if it comes to a life-or-death matter, don't hesitate to toast the serpent's behind." He sighed and looked at the pass. "According to legend, Avatar Aang and his legendary group of heroes, the fearsome Waterbender Katara, the clever swordsman Sokka, and the Blind Bandit Toph Bei Fong crossed into Ba Sing Se through the Serpent's Pass." he stared closely at the pass. "Now, if we steer carefully we can avoid the rocks and pass through that little-" Suddenly there was small bump from the hull. "What was that?" Luo asked, alarmed.

Jiro rose up when he heard luo ask a frighting question, "I don't know, but we may have company" he then walked towards luo and got ready and case they were attacked.

Jet drew his sword by instinct. " dangit" he said " hey Kikio i broke my sword do you think you can fix it" he asked.

Luo Agagisan laughed nervously. "Hehe... don't say such unnerving things, Jiro... especially when those things have the ability to kill us all, drown this ship, and eat us one by one whole." He saw a long, snake-like thing lurking in the water. "Oh gods..." Suddenly the creature rose, revealing itself as a baby serpent. It screeched playfully and banged its tail on the ship's hull. "Hey Jiro, remember that proverb? 'When there is a cub, there is always a mother', or something like that."

" wait theres a proverb that goes like, oh nevermind if it's true were really going to have problems. Jet ran to the hull to look over the side into the water to look for the serpent cub's mother.

Luo Agagisan looked around, his eyes widening in horror. Suddenly four serpents emerged from the water, surrounding the ship. They were teal green and had purple lines on their long bodies. Each of them screeched and stuck their long tongues at the ship, ready to attack. "OH GODS! HOW MANY MOTHERS DOES THIS CUB HAVE! The catapults!" He punched button and four trapdoors opened on the deck and the catapults appeared. "Fire!" He punched another button and the catapults hit the serpents, but they still weren't dead yet. "I'm gonna go outside and fight them." He ran onto the deck and began blasting fire at each of them. "A little assistance would be appreciated!"

" I'm coming i'm coming" he called then ran out on the deck and shot lighting at the serpents. " Take this you scaly freaks" he called shocking one hard.

One of the serpents waved his body wildly after being struck and fell back into the water as Luo punched fire directly at its face. "Thanks, Jet. You know, lightning can be useful sometimes." He blasted fire at another serpent and continued firing the catapults, eventually bringing down another serpent. Another trapdoor opened on the ship and revealed a solid block of rock meant for Kailee.
