I suggest the Blade of The Immortal series in Manga and Anime form both. Very good books. That and I suggest also, The Guyver animated series. Its kinda goofy because it was made way back ni the day, but its SUPER gory and gets crazy as heck later on in the episodes. The firstones are all about him being disturbedin his high school life and crap like that, but it gets nutso after they leave all that crap behind and get into his adventure.

Well for all you girly girls that have an inner tomboy, the Sailor Moon manga would be perfect for you. And of course there's the anime.
I'm also reading Air Gear. It's an okay manga. It is a little bit more mature but I'd say that it's 15+.
Oh and I just started to read Battle Angel Alita online today. Really, really, good. There's some blood and gore but it's not excessive and the storyline is so enthralling. Plus Ido, the 'Doc' is so funny. He looks kinda goofy but has this sort of charm all his own.

lol I've seen Sailor Moon... every episode and movie... razz
I started watching it when it first came to YTV when I was like... seven, and it was pretty much one of the shows that first got me into anime in the first place.

@ Aki: Yep, SM got me into anime too. ^^ And hopefully I'll be able to buy all of the DVD's someday so I can show them to my little girls and they'll grow up to be kick a** women like me. xD
@ Xero: There's an anime? Awesome! ^^ I've just been reading the manga at manga.animea.net. I'm at the part where Alita and Figure Four are in the desert and then it starts raining fish. ^^

Sailor Moon was my first, too. ^^
One of my all time favorite mangas is called Eternal Sabbath. I also really love Otomen. x3

Yeah, the manga sounds more in depth because it was more of a movie anime than a series. It was about them geting to the upper world and not living underneathe the falling garbage and all that.

I'm currently reading "Battle Royale". I found the book when I was at Anime Evolution and just HAD to buy it. I've seen the movie and read some of the manga, so how could I pass it up??
Anyway, it's FANTASTIC so far. I haven't been able to put it down :3

I just finished watching it to compare, and it can't even be done. The book is just... phenomenal.

Wow, yeah, the second movie sucked. Don't even bother with the second one, either.
I didn't read the book, but I read the manga, which was pretty awesome.

Yeah I've seen it already. It was lame. :/
The manga was better than the movie, but the book is definitely better than the manga as well. But the book came first, so it's not so surprising I guess lol

Manga list! All the manga I'm currently actively reading.
InuYasha (never read it before, so I am now. ^^)
Sailor Moon (should've finished by now but the art is kinda, well not as good as others. And I'm at the point in the storyline that's my least favorite.)
Death Note (Was halfway through until I started reading InuYasha. xD)
I've also finished Tsubasa, those with wings. It's pretty good, made by the author of Fruits Basket. It's definitely more mature than fruits basket, but should be okay 15+.
Book List! I am currently reading The Compound, which is on the Sunshine State Teen Reads List. (list of 15 books every year that are really good. Florida only, hence Sunshine State) I'm halfway through and it's really, really, good. Sorta reminds me of Ember, but it's a bit better IMO because it deals with just one family.
Some other really good books on that list: The Secret Story of Sonia Rodriguez, Brutal, and After. Now the last book is about a teenager who gets pregnant and throws her baby away. So it is really heartwrenching, and will definitely make you think about your view on stuff like that. So if you think that you won't like the story, then don't read it.

Are you reading Sailor Moon online? If not, where the heck did you find it?? The only place I've found it is on ebay and it's ridiculously expensive.
Right now I'm reading Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. I wanted to read the books again, but I lost the third one when I was driving back home from Calgary a couple months ago and I just bought a new copy.
I also bought and will read soon: Let the Right One In, The Mists of Avalon, My Sister's Keeper, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, and The Lovely Bones.
I love Amazon.com...

The art for Sailor Moon... is not... good? I don't... what??
Well, maybe for the beginning but it gets better (with longer limbs, too!)
Lol but seriously, maybe it's just preference. I don't like the way Rumiko Takahashi draws.
I bought all my Sailor Moon manga back when it was still on TV, except I'm missing most of the beginning volumes...
