Izumi yawned and walked between the trees. She had another long night the night before, preforming on the streets for little money. Now, she could play her guitar in peace, with hopefully no one around. Guitar strapped to her shoulder, she scrambled up the nearest tree, climbing as high as she could before sitting on a branch. She looked around the forest floor, and, seeing nobody, starting to play her guitar and sing to her hearts content.

A small white bird landed on a higher branch and whistled to the sound of Izumi's playing and singing."You play beautifully little one. Tell me what is your name?" It asked tilting its head and looking at her with it small black eyes as it stood still on the branch, except for it tail feathers twitching every few seconds "It has been a long time since I heard someone play any music so far from the town." The little bird don't venture closer to the girl and besides the fact it was talking something else seemed very strange about how it was behaving.

Izumi jumped a little and stopped playing, once again filling the forest with silence. She glanced over at the little white bird, barely surprised it was talking. She had heard of others, other Lycans. But never seen any, except herself, in this forest. "Name's Izumi." She said, trying to find the right words to say. "Your just like me aren't you?" She tied her guitar strap to the branch then transformed into a dark gray wolf as quickly as possible, jumping down from the tree and landing on all four paws, only a slight tingling left in her legs from the inpact of the landing.

The bird looked at her and flew to the ground hopping along. "Yes I am don't be afraid I won't harm you." It said turning its head and looking at her with its dark eyes. Then after hopping towards Izumi transformed into a scarlet fox and licked her paw after sitting down."There's really no need to be so frightened we're sister's from the same great family and we don't fight amongst family." She smiled panting as the cold air rushed past her face."My name is Rima."

Izumi growled slightly. "I'm not afraid of you. I'm not afraid of anything." A lie. She was afraid of many things, but never let people know it. Her tough exterior was just a shell to hide her abandonment issues and lack of self control. "I have no family. Be it literally or figuratively." Her stomach rumbled and she flicked her ears back, wishing she made more money the night before. "What did you want?"

Rima smiled and laughed."You have a family little one even if you don't know it. I came because of your playing it sounded so sad. Also I came to find something to eat the other animals can sense us and its hard to hunt outside the pack." The fox waged its tail slowly when she heard Izumi's stomach growl. "Do you not know how to use your talents to steal food from the Humans? If you wish I will teach you." She said looking at the wolf's face.

Izumi nodded. "I do know how, it's just..." Just what? Despite her appearance and personality, she didn't like to steal. Mostly because if it meant playing her guitar and singing, she would gain money that way. "But, if you're up for stealing some food, I guess I can't complain." She would never pass up food; it seemed her unruly appetite was taking her over lately.

Rima smiled and stood up her ears perking up."Good because I'm starving to and I smell bacon." She licked her lips and trotted off towards the town."Don't worry the Humans have plenty of food here they won't miss a ham or two." She transformed into her human form, her white hair reaching all the down her back and a large cross around her neck.She was wearing a long silver dress with dark boots that went all the way up to her thigh. "Let's go as Humans I get their attention and you grab the food simple as that. If there's any trouble which is doubtful run for cover and leave the rest to me I'm not below attacking Humans defensibly of course." Rima said walking under the town's arch.

Izumi nodded and transformed into human form. Her black hair was tangled from not brushing it recently and her white bangs fell in her face. She wore a tattered pair of capris and a blue tanktop, and her feet were bare. She followed Rima into the store. This should be easy; stealing food probably wasn't that difficult. "Just remind me to go back and grab my guitar later."

"I will now let's get what we came for. When I give you the signal grab what you can carry and run back into the forest. We'll met up at the tree." Rima whispered to her. She walked over the the front counter and looked at the meats displayed in the glass case. "Those look yummie." She said smiling as a young man approached her from behind the counter. "Can I help you Miss?" He asked politely. "~Oh I don't know can you?~" Rima asked leaning towards him over the counter something her mother had taught her to do when your dealing with a male. "~Your really cute, Handsome.~" She said as the man began to blush. Her eyes and of course her figure had him destracted now was Izumi's chance.

Izumi quietly observed Rima, taking mental notes for the future. When she saw her chance, she quickly but quietly gathered as much meat as she could and snuck out the door, trying to conceal as much as possible. When outside, she bolted for the forest and stopped by the tree they were at before. Izumi couldn't help but laugh at how naive humans could be. Especially the men.

'Good Girl Izumi' Rima thought as she heard the door open and close. With a sly smile she turned away from the young man. "~Sorry Handsome its time for me to go.~" She said walking out the door giggling when she heard him call for her to come back. She walked over to the alley way and transformed into a small sparrow and flew to the tree spying Izumi underneath it with the meat. "See wasn't that fun? Humans are so fun to trick!" She giggled and swooped down turning into a Lynx. "Hmm you did good Izumi so you get first pick of the meat." The Lynx smiled and sat down waiting its turn.

Izumi made a small smile and looked at all the meat she gathered. She was quite proud of erself for gathering so much in so little time, so she took her time picking out what she wanted to eat. Finally deciding on a bunch of sausage, she turned back into a wolf, finding comfort in eating in animal form. She gulped down a sausage link and laughed. "Very good meat, if I do say so myself." Her tail thumped happily on the ground.

Rima smiled she liked Izumi she was a good kid. She hooked a piece of sliced ham on her sharp claws and dragged it over to herself and gnawed on it. "Yes you did a very good job Izumi its great." After she ate a little more she licked off her paw and began cleaning her coat.

Izumi yawned and finished eating, swiping her toungue around her muzzle and shaking a leaf from her pelt. She turned into a hawk and flew up to the tree, then grasped the neck of her guitar in her talons and flew back down, setting it on the ground and turning back into human form. "I'll have to remember some of those tricks." She said with a small laugh. Just out of curiosity, she asked, "How many of us are their out there, do you think?"
