"I am L."
"HOLY s**t YOU'RE L! HI, I'M KIRA, GOD OF THE NEW WORLD! I'M THE ONE TRYING TO KILL YOU!"
The entire room went silent at Light's screaming.
-Five Seconds Later-
Cough. Cough.
"I MEAN! I'M LIGHT YAGAMI, COMPLETELY NORMAL TEENAGER, SON OF YAGAMI SOICHIRO!"
Everyone went back to normal, conversations starting up again.
"Hello, Yagami-kun," L said. 'He seems pretty normal but something tells me he's Kira...'
'Heh, smooth, Light. Smooth,' Light thought, proud at his quick cover-up.
Light Yagami truly was
A genius.
Third Person POV
"Hey! L!" Light yelled, while in public. Everyone froze.
"L?"
"He couldn't mean that detective, could he?"
"That's L? He looks so... slob-ish!"
"You'd think a famous detective would be rich enough to buy the best of clothes.
"Hey! That guy's L!"
L, scared his identity was now revealed, glared at Light. Knowing this glare meant his Kira percentage would rise to 100 in two seconds flat, Light thought fast and called out, "OH, UH, I MEAN RYUZAKI!" rather suspiciously.
"Oh, Ryuzaki!"
"So that's not L?"
"I should've known. L wouldn't look like that."
"I'm confused, is he L or isn't he?"
"He isn't, you idiot. That's just some guy named Ryuzaki."
Light wiped his forehead. Yup. It was times like this when you could see that Light truly was
A genius.
