If you were wondering, This has nothing to do with the Twilight Saga, but twilight as in the dark gloominess, with only hints of light.

This is a story about a castle, its royalty, its workers... and something else (that *I* will reveal later on in the story)

Adriella awoke, gasping for breath. She had the nightmare again. She looked over to Lee, she was asleep in her bed. Adriella closed her eyes. The memories of the dream came flooding back.

She was in her castle, in the biggest room, chained to a tree. The tree was surrounded by cage, after cage, after cage, until the room itself could not contain any more. Tears ran down her cheeks, she struggled to get out. All around the chains on her body were now huge red marks. They began to throb, but she had to get out. She gave her body a rest and looked around the room, looking for anyway she could escape. She saw something out of the corner of her eye. A shadow. Adriella wondered what it could be, for she was sure it was not human. Just as the shadow arrived right next to her.
She awoke.

It was the same nightmare, almost every night. Leafleaper was the only person to know about them. Adriella knew why she was having these nightmares, but she couldn't do anything about it. Her father was strict, disciplined and very stubborn. He did not allow Adriella to leave the castle grounds, the farthest she could go was the end of the garden. Think about this made her fear, wonder and break down. She looked at her pillow that was lying beside her. Her auburny-red hair streched all the way past it, wavy in an almost angelic pattern. Adriella couldn't think any longer, and fell back asleep, weeping.

rose the queen could not sleep. she was in her bed with her husband. she walked out of their room and went to check on every one. she was not one to be up at night. for her name was rose and it meant a beauty that is most beautiful in sunlight. rose check on her kids. she was coming to adriella room. she knocks on the door and opens it. she was checking. rose walked in and went to her bed.

Adriella heard a creaking noise, it had to be the door opening. She wearily opened her eyes it was her mom. She swore in her mind. She quickly brushed the tears off her face before her mum could come and sit next to her. "Hi mom" Adriella said looking at the queen who sat beside her on the bed.

Lee turned in her small bed of cloth swatches and dried leaves. She heard someone enter but knew it wasn't anyone who'd threaten Adriella...okay she didn't know that but she was tired and didn't care at the moment. She stretched her wings as she got comfortable again, trying to get back to sleep.

Lee lifted her head to look out at the two, a grouchy look on her face. She wasn't one to be pleasent when woken. She had told them before that she usually slept between the hours of 1-3 am and again from 11-1 pm. According to her internal clock it wasn't even remotely time for her to get up yet.

Kira was walking along a darken corridor. She had a broom in one hand. She was walking as if something was wrong.
'I heard nosies from this direction' she thought as she walked broom rasied above her head to strike anyone she runs into.

"Hasty?" she snarked. "Who's hasty? Testy maybe. Never hasty." She looked at the two now, bright red dust sifted from her wings. "By all means. Keep talking. I'm sure the garden pixies haven't heard yet," she spoke again, her words becoming more bitting and sarcastic. She sat there glaring at the two before laying back down and trying to get back to sleep. "Lead footers. Can't talk quietly to save their hides," she muttered as she settled into her bed again.

Kira walked past the Princesses room and heard her talking.
'Awake at this hour? She mustn't be sleeping well at all' Kira thought as she made her way down the hallway.

"ok, get some sleep." rose left the room shutting the door behind her she made her was to her bed room. rose saw the maid and watched her for a moment. she opened her door and walked in to her bed room. she went to her bed.

Adriella got up when she heard the early birds, or "Sing-Sings" as she used to call them as a child. She rubbed her eyes and stood up. She walked over to the bathroom mirror, god, she looked like a mess. Adriella grabbed her hairbrush and started brushing. In a matter of seconds all the knots came un-done and her hair was perfect again. Adriella's mum had once told her princesses have special DNA that made them unusual and unusually beautiful. Adriella's violet eyes shimmered back at her. It seemed they had a mind of their own. She looked down at her pyjamas.
"Dammit." she thought as she saw the huge rip at the bottom of the left strap. She threw off her dress, leaving her in her undergarments. It was a white flowing top and white undies. She walked to her closet but could not figure out what to wear. She looked around for Lee. Lee always knew.
