Here's a review for The Last Airbender. I lol'd when I read because it my sentiment exactly! Link below to the source! The Last Airbender. Here’s a film that tickles you funny and depresses with its atrocity. I still have to think hard if there was anything worth liking in The Last Airbender. Avatar: The Last Airbender (they chucked Avatar from the title because of the Na’vi film) is a highly enjoyable anime-influenced animated series from Nickelodeon. Avatar beautifully weaved its story through fantasy and multi-cultural ethnic backdrops, and is by far the most delightful series I have seen in the fantasy/adventure genre from American animation. In Shyamalan’s version, the Japanese Fire Nation has gone to the Indian subcontinent while still sporting their Japanese attires and names. Our Chinese hero Aang is transcoded as a Caucasian lad along with the brother sister duo of Katara and Sokka. I braced myself and waited for the film before judging it completely but all that could go wrong, did. The clumsy script kept falling on its story and dialogues. So did the abysmal acting. And I ground my teeth whenever someone intentionally mispronounced names. The visual palette in the live action is murky as if it has just been run through mud, and the fight choreography is unconvincingly feeble. — Farheen Jawaid Click it!

Shaylaman is a jerk! sweatdrop
It totally destroys the animated version. This film had cheesy acting, horrible casting, and kept fudging up the names! stare (I.E. Aang was pronounced Ong or Sokka pronounced as So-Cah crying ) The firelord didn't look threatening at all, Zuko looks like he has a black eye, and the whole southern water tribe was caucasian. gonk The movie was rushed and the earth benders little "dance"? WTH?! eek Shaylaman should go hid under a rock and never come out ever again! sweatdrop xd
In Short This movie tea-bagged my eyes for an hour and a half. burning_eyes

I believe that if people even bother to see the sequel its because of the following reasons:
1. They NEVER watched the animated version so they don't see how the director is destroying something that was great. crying
2. They want to see if he can fix what he destroyed. sweatdrop
3. They want to kill themselves with a horrible film. burning_eyes
Personally, I don't see how he's going to create the sequels when he didn't add in semi-important characters like Suki or any other details from book one. gonk I doubt we even see lightning in these movies since the only firebender to actually create his own fire is Iroh. stressed What are the others gonna do? What for a thunderstorm to attack with lightning? stare xd

I was watching one of the little "inside look" of the movie on Nick. M.Night was all like ---I want aang's name to be pronounced like it is in Asia 'Ong'.
I totally rolled my eyes and was like well I'm no longer excited about this movie because he's being pretentious already

I barely survived this one, I sure I won't from the sequel. xp

Air-bender is one of those series that should be made as it, of course a little adaptation is a must when you have a lot to squeeze in to a given time slot.....but he had to take all that was lovable in air-bender and turn it into the most dreadful two and something hours of my life.
