I've come to realize that some people might not like the way I end my RPs. D:
I almost always do it with a tragedy, because that way, it ends. I hate happy endings, because I always want to see their life continue on, and such. Also, tragedy-like endings reaaally interest me, and if they can make me cry, then I automatically love that movie/book/RP/whatever. I find an amazing ending worth the months it took to build.
Anyways, how about you?

I like endings with closure but nothing too depressing like series such as Cowboy Bebop or X (get enough of that already) but nothing overly sappy and too unrealistic either.

X/1999 or Malcolm X. Though I'm assuming the former, since I know that ending was just downright depressing and I'm not sure on the latter's ending.
To answer your original question, I like all sorts of endings, so to me, it really depends on the story itself. If a writer did a good job with the story, the ending will fit perfectly.
