This district is also known as the "Welcome Sector" as many people from other worlds end up entering the world through this place. It is also the sight of keyblade users and for a good reason as the Keyblade Order's School and Headquarters are located there.

Traverse Town is probably the most well guarded world by the Order, and the reason for that is that Traverse Town is a haven for misplaced people who lost their worlds to the Darkness.
