Hardstyle isn't a type of dance, it's a genre of electronica music.
Now, I dance jump/freestyle to hardstyle music. And I dance industrial style, however I do more stomping/shuffle over the tectonik style hand movements.

I'm personally working on a new style right now, Speed Industrial. I'm working it to encompass older industrial moves that can keep up with newer, faster industrial songs.

Well, as being a part of the "rave" movement in LA, hardstyle is simply the type of music. There is Hardstyle shuffling, but it simply refers to shuffling to hardstyle/gabber/hardcore music. It's still called shuffle.

Digital Malevolence I dance however I feel like, theres no name to it. This. However my styles do change if I'm working or if I'm just dancing for my own enjoyment. I hate to refer to "gogo" as a style of dancing, because it really isn't, plus I don't dance like any other gogo in the area except for maybe one beautiful lady from DC who I've only gotten to work with on a couple of occasions. I do, however, do hula, lyrical, kpop choreo and I'm trying to get into breakdancing, but my arm muscles are a little too weak for it right now.

Yup. The best way to describe it is a cross between classical ballet and jazz. Click here for wiki. Also I forgot to add that I took 4 years of traditional poi.

I like to dance.... but mostly I just fool around with lights and glowsticks and give lightshows (and I'm not terribly good at them they're just fun). I like to play around with liquid dancing.... I'd dearly love to learn to shuffle, and I kind of almost can, but I epically fail at it if other people are watching. lol
I'm kind of trying to learn to step to DnB, but eh.... I mostly like to listen to music and when I go to a rave or party or whatever I like to talk with people, give lightshows and chill.
More than anything I want to learn to bellydance. Tribal bellydance and serpentism, oh dear word. Most beautiful thing ever.
...I don't know if you count poi, staff, fans, hoop, or other forms of fireplay as dancing, but I do. I think when people perform with fire it's always a dance. I want to learn but I'm not ever going to like become a performer, that's way too many eyes on me when I inevitably ******** up and burn my face off hahaha.

Back when I was taking poi (traditional style, not fire/glow/etc), I ended every class with bruises...even after I'd become fairly advanced. There was one move that took me forever to get down which always ended with the poi tying themselves together in front of my face and smashing into my nose. Doing single-handed ended with a black eye on more than one occasion. Its a lovely form of dance no matter what style people are using. It really does showcase the dexterity of the performer (or the lack-there-of if they aren't practiced). I wish I could find a local instructor for traditional, though. Its more about synchronization between multiple people and percussion than elaborate wraps and tricks. i adore bellydancing, but again, for me its all about trying to find a reputable instructor. As nice as it would be to go down to the local YMCA and learn "bellydancing" from their instructors, it just isn't the same. =
