Background: Her older sister raised her and six years after Hiyori joined the Thirteen Court Guard Squads Aya began attending the Soul Reaper Academy. After she graduated she was transferred to the Punishment Force and was a protector of the Noble families who paid Central 46 for a little extra protection. Aya was one of their best and brightest and was very aware of the small role she had to play. It didn’t bother her to know that no one would ever recognize her talent like they did her sister. After Aizen betrayed her sister and changed her into a vizard she deflected from the Soul Society vowing vengeance against the Soul Reapers who turned a blind eye to her pleads for them to look into the matter further. When she found out Hiyori had been lost protecting the Soul Society from Azien she lost it and joined up with Akira even though she knows it isn’t right.
