McCall crept silently through the dark field, hiding down in the grass. The moon was high and if you were paying attention, you could see the white spot on her back reflecting the light from it. She was stalking a bunny, her small kip form easily moving low enough for her to be difficult to spot, but her young legs making her a little clumsy. She could never quite get close enough to actually pounce.
Frustration rose in her and she finally sighed and gave up, settling on some bland, but filling leaves nearby for dinner. A few bites in, she perked an ear and remembered that there was a stream nearby. She'd never tried any fishing, but she figured there was no harm in trying. She had watched Lune fish, it hadn't looked that hard. She settled herself by the stream, eyes on the water. She could see several small fish just under the water and watched them for a long time. She found that they would pause for about 10 seconds and then dart away. she waited for one to dart close and pause. She lifted one paw in the air, claws extended and dropped it quickly, missing the fish narrowly. She moved down a ways and started over again. Man she was hungry.

The tall grass was Green like the green of the small calcium deposits, little pointy horns sitting atop her small, square face. The green of her nose was wet and shiny and her eyes, bright, limpid pools of molten emerald shone bright as stars. She was creeping smoothly and soundlessly through the long grass, sharp eyes darting to and fro as she walked. Her gaze was sharp, calculating. She sniffed the air and bunched her muscles and prepared to leap on the small grey animal infront of her. She growled and slowly edged nearer and with a snarl she lunged at the creature. She got the field mouse by the scruff and she twisted, snapping it's neck. The tangy, metallic taste of copper and heat found her mouth as it bled freely. She stood straight, red fur growing darker with the blood in her mouth.
She heard running water and turned towards it, running out of the trees and through tall grass into a clearing where water ran clear and fresh. She sat silently, watching a black kip with spots on her back. She observed her behavior and realized what she was doing. She crept closer slowly and soundlessly. Then, the kip dropped the field mouse beside the other. "Hey there." she said, her voice soft and high. "If you want, we can share. Cleaning the fish takes too long anyways.." she added with a soft smile. The grass ruffled in the breeze, tickling her cream under belly and her paws. She wagged her tail slowly and offered a gentle smile. She too was a kip and her small, diminutive figure was slowly growing, and muscle tone was starting to build in her limbs. She was slim and sturdy, a kip born to fight and explore.

McCall started at the voice next to her. She had been so focused on the water and the fish that she didn't even hear the red and green female approach. They seemed to be about the same age, she wondered momentarily how they hadn't met before. She grinned at the female. "I seriously thought I had that last one. I feel like I'm so clumsy..." she paused, grinning. "Sorry, you surprised me and my mouth just seems to run... I'm McCall by the way."

The red female giggled at the look of surprise on the other's face. "Actually, it did look pretty close that time." she grinned. "It's easier in the water, I've come to find... but that's just me, and it's okay, sometimes I tend to ramble a bit myself. I'm Tieve." she introduced herself. She sat down at the water's edge. "It's nice to meet you." she added belatedly, a sheepish expression painting her friendly face.

McCall grinned, debating the merits of getting all four of her feet wet...... ewwwwwww. She turned to introduce herself, "I'll have to try that. Hi Tieve, I'm McCall. It's nice to meet you too." she grinned and then turned to look around the clearing. she spotted a bush with some berries she recognized and walked over and began to shake the branches, letting the ripe berries fall onto the grass below. She pushed them all into a pile with her paw and then grinned at Tieve. "Wanna share?" she asked, returning Tieve's earlier gesture.
