 Something strange was going on in the Village of Hawick. For some reason, the cold was drifting away and it was getting warmer... Almost as if the atmosphere was preparing the wizarding town for a great event. But of course! There was a great event and all those who knew the town knew what it was.
Once a year, on the day of St. Valentine, the Village of Hawick was decorated by all of the townsfolk for a grand party that all young witches and wizards were asked to participate in. Those with partners were welcomed to watch as those without entered their names into a hat to be drawn before the festivities began. Following old traditions, the wizards would reach in and pull out the name of a witch and for the rest of the day they would spend time getting to know each other.
Of course, there was more to it than that. There were other games of love and places to win prizes. There were songs and dances along with great food and wonderful company. Madame Sylvia was even known to set up a little fortune telling booth just for the sake of fun.

 Events will begin on Febuary 14th and can be played out until the end of the month as needed for everyone to be able to take place.
Secret Rose Services ~ Skye has volunteered (was volunteered by her Aunt) to run a rose booth. Here you may purchase roses secretly to be delivered to a witch or wizard. Each color has a special meaning behind it. Red means 'I love you'. Pink means 'I adore you'. White means 'I like you'. Yellow means 'We're friends'. (If you would like to order a rose to be delivered to someone secretly please PM me or AIM me and let me know what color and who it will be going to. Since I lurve you all I will NOT be charging for this service... Our lovely Lady Skye will be handing out the roses at the event.)
Fortune Telling by M'dame Sylvia ~ For this lovely holiday our favorite sweets shop owner has agreed to pitch her fortune telling tent just outside of her shop. Witches and Wizards may enter as a pair or one at a time on their own, but they will only be read once and once alone.
Wooing Contest ~ Later on in the day after the couples have had time to get to know each other better everyone will be called to the Town Square where the wizard will be asked to woo his fair lady. Of course, if the wizard is uncomfortable with this task it will be up to the witch to charm him. (No spells permitted! Not that kind of charm!) Prizes will be awarded for those who woo the best.
Apple Peeling ~ Curtesy of the Black Cat we bring you the tradition of apple peeling. It was believed long ago that if you managed to keep an apple peel in one piece as you removed it from the apple you could toss it behind you and the way it fell would form the initials of your true love. Darla will be more than willing to give young witches and wizards a hand in having this happen. What better barkeep gossip is there than a good romance?
Song & Dance ~ All day music will be played throughout the Town Square for couples to dance to. Of course, they are most welcome to sing as well. Everyone loves a good song.
Food ~ What would a party be without some delicious food? No sort of party for a wizarding town. Food will be served both outside and within the Black Cat; free of charge for this special day.

One by one the various shop owners began to filter from their homes and out onto the streets to begin the festival. Over night the rest of the decorations had been put up... Pretty streamers and silver sparkles everywhere. In the center of the town the water had been temporarily removed from the fountain only to be replaced with a stream of flower petals that were enchanted to flutter down and 'swim' around. Sylvia took her seet within her fortune telling tent, only to happy to be doing this for the young ones. After all, good fortunes were her specialty. Darla was working with the food inside, toting it back and forth from within the Black Cat. A broad grin was on her lips. She too was in a glorious mood. The most entertaining of all was Bangor Erris who finally decided to come out of his shop. He was prancing around the square with a flock of pixies following him here and there.

Walking through the doors, akito see's the valentines day event starting in the village. Wondering if there are anyone else here at the monent, akito walks around in confusion not knowing what to do. So much festivities, and happiness in the air. With all the great decorations, he was sure he was int he right place. "Can someone tell me what there is to do?" Akito asked questionably.

Bangor Erris sat on his podium just off to the side of the grand fountain, holding a pretty pink top hat in his hands that contained the names of all of the witches that had signed up for the event... Waiting for everyone to begin showing up.

Akito, holding back a laugh when he saw Bangor Erris neared the fountain. Nodding to show that he was on the list, akito picked out a random piece of paper, with a witches name on it. " I got..."

"Lesse..." He took the paper from the boy, turning it every which way before deciding that upside down was the only way to read it. "Know a little lady by the name of Miyu? She's the one who's stuck with you." He chuckled.
"Hope you kids have fun... Once she gets here, that is. Until then, enjoy some food curtesy of the Black Cat... Or maybe you'd like to have your fortune told by M'dame Sylvia." He laughed.

Nodding at the name, for he knew he had met miyu at the candy store, going to the cafe. She was the one who tried to teach akito to catch mice, even though it failed horribly. Looking around, he picked up some food, and headed for the fortune teller, for some secrets of his ways. Not knowing what was to happen, he just strolled down eating. "Wonder what my fortune will be for me..."

(( That's fine. The event is going to be played out until the end of the month. At the moment, it's still relatively early in the day. XD The closer it gets to the end of the month the later it will be until the last day when it's 'night time'. ))

At the edge of town, he stopped and stared in mute amazement at the town's transformation. If he thought before was beautiful, he was mistaken -- his eyes constantly were drawn to the many scattered floral arrangements. A playful shove from his caretaker behind him jolted Alair from his thoughts.
"C'mon slowpoke! You're going to let the festival drift by at that rate!" Marushii jested, grinning before taking off towards the once-sleepy village of Hawick in a run.
Alair laughed and ran his hand through his hair in an attempt to at least try to straighten it. But of course, like every other day, it had no effect. Alair shrugged this off and continued walking towards the village, and took his sweet time walking around and enjoying the sights.
That is, until he remembered that Marushii had signed him up for something.
Now with a purpose, Alair hastened his step and looked around, pausing at the sight of Bangor Erris and his... hat. "Excuse me, but is this were the, ah, participants are suppose to show up at?" He asked, "Someone signed me up for me, so I'm a bit lost on the details."

Standing in front of the fortune teller, he asked her if he could see his future, or tell anything about his class of magic. Wanting to widen his mind of the wonders there where to be. "Hello, M'dame Sylvia? would you be able to tell me anything about myself...?"
((also i was wondering if we can join and talk with other people, and not just our partners XD; ^^; ))

"Well, if you don't know than I'm not going to tell you." He grinned at the boys bewilderment as he hid the bright pink hat behind his back. Amazingly, if anyone were to check behind him they would see nothing. The hat was indeed... Missing?
Instead of the hat he managed to pull a bright red rose, offering it to the lady that accompanied the wizard. "To you, fair maiden. All lovely ladies deserve a rose on Valentine's Day."

(( Yes, you can talk to other people... But you cannot jump conversations if you are waiting for your partner to post. Does that make sense? ))
