When I was born I remember these few words.. It sounded like a woman and she said "Jake you have to get her out of here.. Now!!" and two warm arms carried me to this hidden cave.. It was dark and I saw a glistening blue tail swim out of the hole. I heard shrieking and then silence and I realized I was alone. I swam slowly around the cave and wondered where my parents were. Then this mermaid rescued me but I was desperate to find my parents and swam as quickly as my tail would carry me. I was a year old by then but very smart. I never found them so I swam alone. I sat down near some coral and began to cry realizing my parents were dead.
crying I saw some merpeople lookin for food so I followed ate and explored. I took shelter in caves. When I was 6 I had started taking care of myself. This pretty mermaid with a pink tail found me and showed me a pretty cave lined with shells and said "You can live there if you want.. Dont go near humans though... Where are your parents anyway?" I sighed and said "Dead... Possibly because of humans...
crying " She hugged me and took care of me until I was 10. Then I decided to swim away and look around and I took care of my self really well.. I still felt lonely so I went to mer-school. I made a few friends. By 11 I was happy with some friends and a pretty cave I had found. I made seaweed curtains and it was a nice little house looking up at the coral reefs and dolphins not to far off. I discovered I could talk to dolphins and one said "Hello. I am Shelby. Who are you?" and I answered "I am Lola.. I heard dolphins can fight of sharks." She nodded her sleek gray head and said "Yes we can. I love coming out here its warm and there are plenty of fish.. Is that your cave over there?" and I nodded. We became great friends. Here is a picture of us.
