Someone in my other guild called the Renaissance Galaxy guild had started to make an RP guide that I wish to share some of those tips with you.

Its all about how to create your role playing character. One of the toughest jobs about getting used to original based role plays is picking out your role playing character.

However, it is only tough if one doesn't know how. So, here are a few strategies to creating your perfect character.

1. Any good role playing character has to have a name. But, what is in a name? How come some names we choose are better than others? How come some names we choose gets no responses at all in say casual role plays like lounge style? Well, that's likely because the name to them has no meaning or is so overdone its burned out.

When parents are expecting a baby, they often think of many names, but only a few seem to stand out. Most names have deep meanings within them, and therein is where your character starts its virtual life.

The meaning behind the chosen name. Without a picture, one should be able to say to themselves, hey, I know that person! Without having to meet them.

A name like John Smith is too common and lame. (Though I could likely say he was related to me. Tee hee hee.)

But, what if we took that name and examined it to make it better and brand new?

Out comes the handy-dandy thesaurus and or the dictionary.

John is another word for toilet!

Well, you might as well name this character after something along the lines of that and you better be thinking of joining perverted type roleplays for it to be the least bit amusing.

Smith is a commonly abbreviated word for metal worker. So, combine John Smith and you have A toilet metal worker. Ewwwww!!!!! We might as well call him Mario and be done with it!

So, we know that that character name is not a good one. But, you get the idea. (Hopefully you had a good laugh with my examples. I know I sure did.)

If you want to know the next tip on roleplaying from this guide my friend showed me, then post below requesting it and with a question.
